About the event

Know Other Festival is a transformative 4-day, 3-night wellness camping experience designed to celebrate, uplift, and connect LGBTQIA+ women, nonbinary, gender-expansive, and trans identities. Set in the serene and scenic Joshua Tree, CA, the festival offers an inclusive space to explore personal growth, wellness, and creativity through immersive workshops, vibrant music performances, and interactive art installations. With dynamic sessions led by queer facilitators and artists, attendees engage in healing practices, thought-provoking discussions, and joyful celebrations. Nighttime programming includes a mix of community-building activities, live music, and unique themed events. This is more than just a festival; it’s a sanctuary for queer healing, connection, and self-expression. About the application

Know Other Festival is a multi-day queer wellness festival, built by and for queer women, trans, non-binary, and gender-expansive community members. It takes a whole rainbow of amazing human to bring it to life. Volunteers will receive for a $100.00 volunteer fee: Exchange: (1) ticket to the festival including, (1) tent camping pass, meals provided during working shifts at the festival, custom volunteer t-shirt. Discounts on upgraded accommodations. Parking Pass must be purchased through Know Other Festival ticketing platform. As a volunteer, you'll be part of the heartbeat of the festival: welcoming guests, helping vendors, setting up and striking lands, keeping or spaces safe, accessible and clean, and the opportunity to give back to community within community. Volunteering at Know Other Festival Means: - Being part of a queer-led, community-driven event - Meeting incredible people and making lasting connections - Gaining behind-the-scenes experience in festival production - Access to all workshops or festival programming during shift breaks - Knowing you helped create a space for queer joy, healing, and celebration Come ready to work, laugh often, and make queer history with us!

Terms & Conditions

PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee all volunteer applicants. All volunteer applications will be reviewed by our Volunteer Leadership team to determine best placement(s) and our availability based on your qualifications and or experience. Volunteers are required to schedule a 1:1 meeting with the Volunteer Team to be vetted for appropriate team(s). The Volunteer Lead will reach out upon applying to schedule. Social Media Information: Acknowledgement to engage, share, post of pre-festival social media blitz on behalf of Know Other Festival.
