The Empire Market is a growing food-centric public market open every Saturday from 10a-2p. You might have been to something similar in other cities including Kansas City’s River Market, Soulard Market in St. Louis or Pike Place Market in Seattle. Opened in late April of 2018, the Empire Market has 35-45 vendors each week, all selling items they have made or grown themselves. You won’t find any veggies with stickers here!

About the application

Work with Market Staff to help facilitate the following: Opening tasks: Verify starting cash, make sure iPad and card readers are on and charged, set up decor and prep for event. During open hours: Process customer transactions including merch and market tokens used for cash and SNAP (food stamp) vendor purchases. Provide friendly customer support and assistance. Keep countertop tidy and free of clutter. Clean/organize Info Desk shelves and merch table as needed, keep cafe area tidy and clean.
