About the application

We are excited for your interest in being a volunteer at this year's Ithaca Reggae Festival! Each volunteer completing one four (4) hour shift will earn: 1 Day Pass ($50 value) 1 Volunteer T-Shirt 1 Shift Meal Each volunteer completing two four (4) hour shifts will earn: 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday Pass 1 Volunteer T-Shirt 2 Shift Meals For each shift you work, you will be eligible for a chance to win a GrassRoots weekend pass! We appreciate your willingness to help out! ASSUMPTION OF RISK: YOU are RESPONSIBLE There are inherent risks associated with being at the festival. By participating at the Ithaca Reggae Festival in any way (ticket purchaser, volunteer, performer, vendor, etc) YOU are fully responsible for your physical and mental self, your belongings, your vehicle, your actions, injuries, accidents, illness, property damage, or other occurrence arising in any manner whatsoever out of your participation in activities sponsored by the Ithaca Reggae Festival. In addition, all persons attending this event, may be photographed, videotaped, or broadcasted, and waive any claim related to the use of their image for promotional purposes. Be respectful, kind & responsible.

Terms & Conditions

Discrimination: Ithaca Reggae Festival must be maintained as an inviting and welcoming environment without prejudice. Any incidence of perceived or intended discrimination on the basis of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or any factor not enumerated, will be treated with the utmost seriousness, and will not be tolerated. Inebriation: It is important for the public image of the festival and the safety of all attendees that no one be inebriated by any substance while performing festival duties, including simply wearing a t-shirt or lanyard identifying you as security personnel, volunteer, or staff member. Operation of any motorized vehicle or power tool while under the influence is inexcusable and will result in termination. Interaction with guests: It is paramount to the continued success of the organization that all representatives interact with each other and the public in a polite and professional manner. Under no circumstances should any patron be engaged in a confrontational manner. If there is an issue with an unruly and/or hostile patron, especially if they present any danger or antagonism to themselves or others, security should be notified and left to remedy the situation. Sexual Harassment: Sexual harassment, including inappropriate comments and touch, will not be tolerated under any circumstances. See something, say something. Incidents can be reported to any security personnel. Dress Code: Closed-toed shoes are required for your volunteer shift! If you are working with any food & beverage department, you are required to wear your hair up or in a hat. By filling out this application, you acknowledge the Reggae Festival code of conduct expectations and will abide by them to the best of your ability.
