About the application

As a ticket taker, you will be stationed at the entrance to check and collect tickets from attendees starting at 3:00 PM. Your responsibilities may include: • Greeting attendees with a friendly and welcoming attitude • Scanning or visually checking both printed and digital tickets • Issuing wristbands (if applicable) • Directing guests to seating areas or event locations • Answering basic event questions (you’ll be provided with an info sheet) • Monitoring the entry area to help maintain a smooth flow of foot traffic Expectations: • Arrive promptly and be ready by 2:45 PM for any last-minute instructions • Be comfortable standing for extended periods and working in a fast-paced environment • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times Wear your volunteer badge/shirt if provided, to identify yourself as event staff

Terms & Conditions

As a volunteer for the Town of Winchendon, you agree to the following terms and conditions: 1. Conduct & Representation You must be able to follow all directions given by event staff and coordinators. Volunteers are expected to represent the Town of Winchendon in a positive, respectful, and professional manner at all times. This includes treating attendees, staff, performers, and fellow volunteers with courtesy and respect. 2. Appearance & Dress Code Volunteers must dress appropriately for a public, family-friendly event. If a volunteer shirt or badge is provided, it must be worn for easy identification. 3. Punctuality & Attendance Volunteers are expected to arrive on time and stay for the duration of their assigned shift unless other arrangements have been made in advance. 4. Safety & Awareness Volunteers are expected to remain alert, follow safety guidelines, and report any suspicious or emergency situations to staff immediately. You may be asked to assist with minor first aid or crowd management if comfortable and trained. 5. Communication Volunteers should regularly check their email or preferred method of communication for updates or instructions prior to the event. If your availability changes, please notify the volunteer coordinator as soon as possible. 6. Confidentiality & Media Any confidential information learned during your volunteer duties (e.g., performer schedules, security protocols) should not be shared. Photos or media taken while volunteering may be used by the Town of Winchendon for promotional purposes unless otherwise requested. 7. Liability & Waiver By volunteering, you acknowledge that you are participating at your own risk. The Town of Winchendon is not responsible for any personal injury or loss of personal belongings during your volunteer shift. 8. Dismissal The Town of Winchendon reserves the right to dismiss volunteers for misconduct, failure to follow instructions, or behavior that disrupts the safety or enjoyment of the event.
