About the event

The City of Gastonia, Gaston County Public Library, and the Friends of the Gaston County Public Library are partnering to host Gaston MAX (Multicultural Arts Xperience) on March 25 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. We will be showcasing art, music, literature, and culture. The event will feature cultural food and activities, music, dancing, and more!

About the application

Gaston MAX (Multicultural Arts Xperience) is taking place on March 25 from 11:00AM - 3:00PM at the Rotary Pavilion in downtown Gastonia. The City of Gastonia, Gaston County Public Library, Friends of the Gaston County Public Library, and Gaston County Government are partnering to celebrate the wide variety of cultures living in Gaston County and to showcase artists, authors, and entertainers. 
 
If you are interested in becoming a vendor for Gaston MAX, please fill out the below application.
Vendor fees:
- Downtown Gastonia businesses: free (contact event organizer for discount code)
- Marketplace vendors: $25 vendor fee
- Power: $15 fee
- If you have an activity at your booth (game, craft, cultural information) your vendor booth fee will be waived. Contact event organizer for discount code.
No food truck, food cart, or food trailer vendors are accepted under this application.
 
Application deadline: February 12, 2023. Payment must also be received by February 12, 2023 for application to be valid. This is an electronic agreement and by selecting the booths, you are validating and approving this agreement electronically. Payment will be charged to card after application is approved. 
 
Vendor Guidelines and Information:
- All vendors will be allowed to display their goods on 3/25/23 from 11:00AM to 3:00PM.
- Individual vendor booth area is 10' x 10'. 
Vendors are responsible for providing their own table, chair, and tent. Tents must not exceed 10ftx10ft and they must be secured with tent weights or sandbags.
- Only space is provided. If you need utilities, the extra fee is $15.
- Vendors are responsible for all permits, licenses, and insurance. Please send all applicable documents to Christine Ingle at christinei@cityofgastonia.com within 30 days of the festival.
- There will be no refunds due to any wind, rain, snow, or other inclement weather. This is a rain or shine event.
- All vendor activities must be suitable for a family event. Offensive materials, ads, or public displays will be removed and participation refused.
- Do not block private drives, entrances, or doors. Be respectful of private property.
- Booth breakdown is no earlier than 3:00PM and must be completed no later than 4:00PM.
- No generators are allowed for booth vendors.
- It is the responsibility of the vendor to keep the booth and surrounding area clean. Each vendor shall leave the area in the same condition as it was found.
- A final packet going over these regulations and procedures will be sent to the point of contact listed on the application within two weeks before the event. The packet will also include a site map, timeline, and set up and breakdown information.

Terms & Conditions

- There will be no refunds due to any wind, rain, snow, or other inclement weather.  This is a rain or shine event.
- Vendor and power fees are refundable within three weeks of the event. After that point in time, no refunds will be given.
- By signing the application, you agree to these terms and conditions.
