CULTURA COCKTAIL CRAWL

On October 14th, in celebration Hispanic Heritage Month, the City of Lawrenceville will be hosting a cocktail crawl throughout many of our downtown businesses as a part of CULTURA, a brand new Hispanic and Latin Culture Festival.

So much of mixology and today’s cocktail culture has been inspired by the ingredients and traditions Spanish and Latin cocktails. The City of Lawrenceville would love to work with you to celebrate culture with iconic cocktails that show off the great bar programs in the DTL.

The City of Lawrenceville presents CULTURA : Fiesta Latina, a full sensory cultural experience celebrating the diversity of Latin Culture through food, art, cocktails, music, and more! Lawrenceville will be bursting with flavor on Friday, October 14th with Latin Food Vendors and Live Music at the Lawrenceville Lawn, along with a special block party featuring Live Music, Dancing, and a Cocktail Crawl celebrating Latin and Hispanic Cocktails in the Historic Downtown Lawrenceville Square. This event is for all ages to come together to embrace inclusivity, explore new cultures, and celebrate Lawrenceville's amazing diverse community.

How it will work:

1.      BASICS: Each business will create a cocktail to add to the DTL Cocktail Crawl Marketing Material. Cocktails can be creative, but must be inspired by traditional ingredients. The goal is to have an assortment to share with the community. 

2.      SIGN UP: To ensure that each restaurant has a unique drink, participating Restaurants will select and rank three suggested cocktails from a list provided NO LATER THAN Thursday, September 15th. If there is a cocktail that you are interested in that is not on the list, you will have an opportunity to submit this for consideration. Preference for top ranking drinks will be given in the order that the submissions are received, so please sign up today!  3.      PROMOTION: In addition to promoting your business, the City will also create marketing materials for the community to use during the cocktail crawl along with promotional materials for you to share on your social media platforms leading up to the event. A copy of the graphic will also be on display on the digital screens around the square leading up to and during the event 4.      MIX+EDUCATE: Guests will casually drop in between 5 pm – 8 pm, and will be encouraged to order from the bar if they aren’t planning on dining with you. This would be an excellent opportunity to introduce yourself to new guests and educate them on your featured cocktail and your business. You may consider having your cocktails pre-batched for quick service. To-Go drinks will be encouraged so that guests can enjoy the art exhibition at the LAC, the DJs on the square, or the live music at the lawn.
