About the registration

Get excited for the LeMoyne Arts annual Holiday Show! LeMoyne Arts is seeking artists and fine crafters to fill our gallery with the fabulous, original, giftable pieces that our community has come to expect and love from this Tallahassee tradition. Join us in transforming the LeMoyne Arts Gallery into a holiday wonderland, visited by families, art lovers, and gift seekers of all ages.
 
This year’s, theme “Happy Holly Days” takes inspiration from the lyrics of “It’s Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas” with a classic, nostalgic holiday flair. Creating work inspired by the theme is encouraged, but not required.

Multi-Cultural Holiday Celebration: Tuesday, Dec 20, 5:30-6:30pm
 
Fun 2021 Holiday Show facts:
Despite the impacts of the Pandemic, the 2021 “Art Deco the Halls” Holiday Show supported over 50 local and regional artists!  
  • 1,500+ visitors came to the gallery during the show
  • We saw over $42,000+ in exhibit sales
  • We hosted 5 festive Special Events and increased marketing efforts to drive traffic and build excitement around the show
For your consideration: 
LeMoyne encourages giftable artistic creations as well as practical pieces that can be used in the home.
Best-selling items include ornaments, notecards, wearable gifts, pet-friendly items, and home goods in the $25-100 range. Big ticket items do sell, but not as frequently. 
 
Examples of historically successful practical pieces: bottle stoppers, coffee mugs, candles, soap, jam, serving plates, wine bottle holders, eyeglass cases, garden items, coasters, throw pillows, jewelry, fashion accessories, notecards, etc.
 
Popular themes: Beach & Ocean, Winter Wonderland, Classic Holiday, Furry Friends (especially dogs and cats), Recycled & Revamped, Glitz & Glamour, Local Landmarks, Flora & Fauna, One-of-a-kind pieces. Multi-cultural holiday items are also encouraged!

LeMoyne is seeking creative, collaborative volunteers to serve key committee roles to help plan, market, decorate and facilitate the 59th Annual Holiday Show. Terms & Conditions

Please read all notes below:
 
Participants must be at least 18 years of age (unless part of a group with an adult supervisor). 
 
A non-refundable application fee is required at the time of application. The price of the application fee is determined by the time of application. Included in your application is an Individual Membership to LeMoyne Arts ($40 value). If you are a current member of LeMoyne at the time of application, you may gift the membership to anyone of your choice.
 
  Important Dates and Notes 2022:
  1. Holiday Show applications: artists are required to submit 3-5 image samples and related sample prices to this Eventeny application.
    • Submit at least 3-5 high-resolution images that accurately represent your giftable items and include sample pricing. You may include additional images if needed.
    • Images must include: Title/ Description, Media/ materials, General Dimensions, and Average Price. To add this information click "+Add info" button under the image. The jury will not be able to review your application without this information.
    • If we have a 2022 W9 for you already on file, we don't need a new one. 
    • Early Bird Deadline: Monday, September 19, $30 application fee
    • Regular Deadline: Monday, October 3, $40 application fee
    • Extension Deadline: Monday, October 10, $50 application fee
      • Please note we will not be able to accept additional applications after this deadline. 
  2. By applying, all accepted applicants understand that LeMoyne Arts has permission to use submitted images for promotional purposes.
  3. Acceptance notifications and information on inventory submission will be emailed via Eventeny on Tuesday, October 11.
    • Make sure to check your junk mail for Eventeny messages. Additional artist communication will frequently be sent through Eventeny.
    • Items with a green check mark next to "‘included in jury" are approved. A red "X" means it's not approved. 
  4. Completed inventory lists must be emailed to holidays@lemoyne.org by 11:59 p.m., Monday, October 17. Inventory Templates will be sent via email after acceptance.
  5. Unlike other LeMoyne exhibits, Holiday Show artists are required to pick up and adhere the barcode labels to their work, the barcode stickers are created by LeMoyne. These barcodes will be available for pickup at LeMoyne on Tuesday, October 25 - Saturday, October 29.
  6. Item drop-off is between 11:00 a.m. & 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 1 – Saturday, November 5. If special arrangements are needed, please contact staff at holidays@lemoyne.org.
    • Please check-in with a staff member to ensure all work is show-ready before leaving. 
    • Make sure to label your containers/ packing materials with your full name. 
  7. Unsold works must be picked up between 11:00 a.m. & 6:00 p.m., Tuesday January 3, 2023 – Saturday, January 7, 2023.
    • Artists will be responsible for removing and collecting their work from the displays.
    • Due to limited storage space, LeMoyne Arts will not be responsible for items not picked up by Saturday, January 7, 2023.
    • Unsold items not picked up by 6:00 p.m. Saturday, January 14, 2023, will be considered a donation to LeMoyne unless other arrangements have been made in advance of the show.
  8. LeMoyne reserves the right to reject work that does not meet the vision & goals of the Holiday Show for quality and diversity.
  9. ART WORKS: Accepted artists should plan for the following:
    • All artwork must be for sale. We will not accept items listed “Not for Sale”
    • Items should be designed & priced for holiday gift-giving. Please consider submitting items that are priced at a gift-giving price point, usually between $25-$100.
    •  Restocking will be done on a regular basis, so if your work sells well, please be prepared to provide more if possible.
    • Trademarked or copyrighted images will not be accepted! (i.e.; college logos, Disney characters, etc.)
    • This is a family-friendly show, LeMoyne reserves the right to reject inappropriate work.
    • Please package your work safely for drop-off with your name clearly marked and note any special care instructions. LeMoyne staff and volunteers will do their best to care for your artwork; however, in case of an accident, artists agree to hold LeMoyne Arts harmless in the event of loss or breakage.
    • All artwork must be dry and have durable construction/ hanging fixtures (if applicable).
    • Inventory lists MUST be sent to us electronically in an editable format. Artists submitting handwritten, printed, or scanned copies will be charged a $25 transcription fee. Inventory Templates will be sent via email after acceptance.
    • Artists will be responsible for tagging their own works with LeMoyne Arts barcoded labels (available for pick up at LeMoyne on Tuesday, October 25 - Saturday, October 29).
      • Artists must use LeMoyne barcodes. Artists can attach a business card to the back/bottom of the piece.
      • Labels will be 0.9 x 0.9 inches and fit well on 1-inch tags.
      • No colorful tags; 1-inch neutral tags only (white, tan, black).
  10. Work will be accepted at LeMoyne Arts 125 N. Gadsden St. Tallahassee, FL 32301 during operational hours (11am - 6pm). Please use street parking to load and unload.
  11. LeMoyne’s Consignment arrangement is a 60/40 split; the artist receives 60% of the sales price & LeMoyne receives 40%. Please keep in mind that LeMoyne is providing the venue, marketing, staffing, labor to set up and take down the show, paying merchant fees, accounting for sales and payments, providing packaging and staffing for extended open hours. Please note that LeMoyne Arts Members receive 10% discounts on purchases which is deducted from LeMoyne’s cut.
    • In instances where a third party wishes to purchase or commission a similar work from the LeMoyne Arts exhibition after the exhibit has concluded, LeMoyne will act as an intermediary in arranging the transaction for a 20% commission fee. If an artist is in direct contact with the buyer, LeMoyne will kindly ask that the artist honors this 20% commission fee and pay LeMoyne within 1-week after receipt of payment. 
  12. Artists must provide or complete a W-9 when submitting their inventory. You can complete and print the form at attached to this Eventeny application, or, go to www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-w-9
