Artist & Maker Application

We’re teaming up AGAIN with our good friends at the Riverside Chamber of Commerce for our 3rd Annual Riverside ArtWalk! 🎨✨

This year is extra special as we celebrate at the brand-new Morton Amphitheater—a stunning outdoor venue making its public debut!

In partnership with the City of Riverside, Riverside Chamber of Commerce, and Go North KC, this event is part of a major community celebration on July 3rd—featuring an international soccer watch party, a public open house of the amphitheater, and a high-energy evening celebrating the city’s growth and 75th Anniversary.

This FREE, family-friendly event will include:
⚽ Soccer watch party
🎉 Bounce houses, games & interactive activations
🍔 Food, drinks & concessions
🎆 Fireworks to close out the night

Plus, of course… the Riverside ArtWalk, showcasing incredible Kansas City-based artists, makers, and creatives throughout the venue.

 
🎨 Vendor Info
We’re looking for: fine artists, bakers, and makers!

When: Friday, July 3rd
Where: Morton Amphitheater - 6150 NW Music Blvd, Riverside, MO 64150
Time: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Booth Fee: 10’ x 10’ canopy space - $150 + 7.6% Eventeny processing fee

This event is highly curated, so please submit quality photos of your booth display w/ canopy and products.

Vendors are selected based on:
• Professionalism
• Experience
• Booth presentation
• Product/service quality
• Overall market variety

Vendors must provide:
• 10x10 canopy
• 20–30 lb weights per leg (required)
• Tables, chairs, tablecloths & displays

🎨 Live art is strongly encouraged! Shoppers LOVE seeing artists create in real time—be sure to note this in your application.

👨‍👩‍👧 Kids are welcome (with another adult present), and free kids activities will be available!

 
📅 Important Dates
Selections Begin: May 20th (rolling approvals)
Applications Close: June 17th (for late applicants to be added to the waitlist)

We strongly encourage early applications—spaces are limited!

 
🧁 Vendor Eligibility
Open to:
• Handcrafted artisans
• Fine artists
• Cottage food vendors (shelf-stable goods)
• Art-related services (henna, face/body painting, caricatures, etc.)

Cottage food vendors must follow Missouri Cottage Law guidelines, including proper labeling and signage.

📍 All applicants must live within 50 miles of Kansas City

 
🚚 Logistics
Parking + load-in details will be shared with approved vendors.

We recommend bringing:
• A cart or wagon
• Extra help for setup

All approved vendors will receive a Vendor Instructions Email with maps, load-in details, and updates.

Waitlist Procedures

You may be placed on the waitlist if there are no available spaces. If placed on the waitlist, you may be notified via email if there is a cancellation and be offered the opportunity to vend. If you accept, you will be charged upon approval and added to the map.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

• Vendors MUST cancel at least 7 days prior to the event date to receive a refund.
• In the event of weather cancellations determined by the Art Garden KC management team, vendors will be notified via email and issued a 50% refund.
• No Call, No Shows will receive a mark on their account which may limit your ability to vend at our curated events.
• If you were accepted to vend at Crossroads Night Market on this same event date, please make sure you can staff both events. 

Product Limitations

No unaltered trademarked, logo’d, or licensed images or products. Items utilizing such images must be altered in such a way that they are distinguishable from the original design.

General Expectations 

Arrive on time and stay set up until event ends. Emergency situations will be taken into consideration at the discretion of the AGKC Team member on-site, please alert us if you need to leave early due to an emergency.
Clean up after yourself and keep your booth clean and orderly.
Be respectful to staff, event patrons and other vendors.
Vendor owned canopies must be secured to the ground with blocks, sandbags or other heavy objects to prevent property damage and injury to others.
 

Property Damage
Riverside Area Chamber, City of Riverside MO, Morton Amphitheater and Art Garden Kansas City LLC and its employees, agents or officials are hereby released from any responsibility or liability for loss or damage of merchandise or property while it is being displayed/stored in this location. Vendors are responsible for their own personal liability and/or general liability insurance. By submitting your application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
