About the application

This application is for artists, creatives and makers. The Lab is the perfect stepping stone, whether this is your first time vending or a seasoned maker in the community! This is a safe space to get a taste of what selling your wares can entail and be advised with feedback and encouragement to take your craft to the next level.

 

Please note, there are seperate applications for each month, we only accept 3-4 vendors per event due to limted space.

About the event

The Lab is a monthly showcase that serves as an experimental space for underground and emerging artists to showcase work, develop projects, and find professional opportunities, providing a safe and accessible venue for creative community members to connect and create together. The Lab is curated by DOSE Artist Collective, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization based in Winston-Salem, NC. Their mission is to provide opportunities for artists to experiment, collaborate, and share work with the community - in the form of affordable housing, studio, and gallery space. Their vision is to support creative endeavors in the community. The Lab is a creative, collaborative, and supportive space for artists to workshop and showcase their art. This event may contain adult content, and is recommended for ages 18+ Tickets are Pay-What-You-Will. Pre-registration is requested.

Terms & Conditions

You must respond to all emails sent to you to confirm that you have read them and please ensure that you are available to do the following:

  • Load in is at 6pm
  • Please communicate the following needs:
    • If you need assitance loading in
    • If you need a chair
  • We do not provide tables you must bring your own, in the event you do not have a table please let us know and we can accomodate accordingly.

THINGS TO NOTE:

  • We book out a month in advance for each event
  • Vendors will be a mix of artists, creative projects, and creatively driven non-profits.
  • Vendors are responsible for collecting your own payments.
    Vendors are responsible for charging and reporting sales tax (if required).

ADDITIONAL NOTES

  • Participants under 18 must have a legal guardian present if selected.
  • Lights and electricity are not provided. Please, plan ahead. There is overhead bistro lighting above the patio where you will be stationed. 
  • Your set up area is around a 8x8 square, please plan accordinigly.
