About the application
This application is for artists interested in exhibiting their work at The Next Picture Show. It is designed to gather essential information about you, your artwork, and your display needs to help us curate a well-rounded and engaging show.
Applicants will be asked to submit details including contact information, medium, artwork descriptions, and images of the pieces they wish to exhibit. Accepted categories may include, but are not limited to, painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, mixed media, and other original visual arts. All submissions will be reviewed based on quality, creativity, and overall fit within the exhibition.
If selected, artists will receive additional information regarding event protocols, including setup and breakdown schedules, display guidelines, and gallery expectations. Basic guidance on parking, load-in procedures, and space accommodations will also be provided to ensure a smooth and professional experience.
Please note that this application is for display purposes only and does not guarantee acceptance. We aim to create a diverse and dynamic exhibition that represents a variety of artistic styles and perspectives.
About the event
Terms & Conditions
Jury Fee: Non-refundable: $50. Each fee covers up to three entries. Please note the show you're entering.
Specifications: All entries must be the artist's original work. Pieces copied, replicated, or created from someone else's images without permission will be disqualified.
Framing/Hanging: Accepted work must be framed,* wired, and ready for hanging. NO SAWTOOTH HOOKS. No other types of hangers are allowed. Artwork may not exceed 48" x 48" or 40 lbs. *Gallery-wrapped canvases don't need frames. TNPS reserves the right to install accepted works in a manner deemed necessary for each exhibition. Attach the following information to the back of your work: Name, Title, Medium, and Price.
Publicity: TNPS reserves the right to video or photograph all work for publicity purposes.
Submissions: Include images of your work with your application.
Insurance / Liability: Artists are responsible for insuring their work.A locking device will be part of the hanging system. TNPS does not provide insurance or security on the premises.
Sales: Exhibited works will be considered for sale at the price indicated during the submission process. Works not for sale must be designated "NFS." All work is to remain on display for the duration of the show.
Commission: TNPS takes a 25% commission of the retail price for any artwork sold.
Jurying: Only entries postmarked by indicated deadlines will be considered. All CDs and photos will be retained until exhibition end.
Awards: Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Honorable Mention (may be more than one). Delivery. Accepted work may be shipped or hand-delivered to TNPS during regular gallery hours, Wednesday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m
Timeline: Entry deadline | May 27th Deliver artwork to TNPS | starting May 28th
Awards reception | June 5th |6-8 p.m. Artwork pickup at TNPS | starting July 11th
NEW POLICY| Artwork left more than 30 days after an exhibition ends will be considered abandoned and become the property of TNPS. The gallery is not responsible for any work left beyond 30 days.
