About the application
Welcome to the MumFest Vendor Application Process! If you are a Downtown New Bern Business, you MUST complete and submit the Downtown Business Vendor Application in full, pay the application fee, and submit. MumFest is an outdoor festival coordinated by Swiss Bear, Inc.
Downtown business vendors are brick-and-mortar businesses physically located within the official downtown footprint (between First Street, Broad Street, and E. Front Street). This category is reserved exclusively for those businesses operating within the designated district boundaries and provides an opportunity to extend their presence onto the street during MumFest weekend.
About the event
Terms & Conditions
Swiss Bear reserves the right to approve or deny vendors' applications for MumFest.
You will be notified within two weeks whether or not your application has been accepted. IF ACCEPTED, YOUR CARD ON FILE WILL BE CHARGED FOR ALL RELEVANT FEES THAT YOU HAVE SELECTED IN YOUR APPLICATION AT THAT TIME.
This is an electronic agreement and by completing the application, you are validating and approving this agreement electronically.
Also note that we are not accepting any CBD vendors in 2026.
Please note that the cut-off date for withdrawal with a refund of booth fees is July 1, 2026. On or after July 1, 2026, no refunds will be issued to any vendor for any reason. Booth fees become completely non-refundable on and after July 1, 2026.
No booth fee refunds will ever be issued due to weather-related decisions made by the vendor. Unless the event is cancelled outright and in its entirety by the organizers, vendor participation is expected regardless of the weather. Swiss Bear always reserves the right to change the dates of MumFest due to circumstances outside of its control.
Application fees are always non-refundable.
All vendors must provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) with general liability coverage of $1M per occurrence/$2M aggregate for the dates of the Festival. COI must list Swiss Bear, Inc. as an additional insured on the vendor’s policy. COIs may be submitted after acceptance and are not required at the time of application.
Cancellation Protection:
If you wish to purchase Cancellation Protection, please select this option in the pricing section.
If MumFest is canceled by the organizers in their sole discretion due to weather, hurricane, acts of God, or other unforeseen circumstances, this add-on benefit provides reimbursement for the cost of your booth only (based upon size). It does not cover any other losses, such as extras purchased or loss of sales. Cancellation Protection does not apply to application fees. Cancellation Protection pays only if the organizers cancel the event outright and in its entirety. Cancellation by a vendor does not entitle the vendor to receive Cancellation Protection even if the vendor has selected this option.
Cancellation Protection may not be added to your application after vendor approval.
Swiss Bear encourages vendors to purchase Cancellation Protection.

- If conducting any raffle activities, I acknowledge and agree to the comply by the requirements set forth in North Carolina General Statutes, Section 14-309.15.
- What time will you load-in? We strongly recommend Friday evening.
