About the event

PRIDE BY THE BEACH is North County San Diego’s premier, family-inclusive, and free Pride festival. We welcome more than 20,000 attendees each year to the heart of downtown Oceanside. For 19 years, Pride by the Beach has brought visibility, connection, and joy to the LGBTQIA+ community across 13 cities and Camp Pendleton. We are unique because we are more than a festival. We’re a proud program of the North County LGBTQ Resource Center, where the celebration continues every single day through vital, life-changing services. This year marks a new chapter for us. The Center officially purchased our Apple Street building, a permanent home where hope, healing, and advocacy thrive. With this milestone, our services are more important now than ever. From free mental health therapy and housing assistance to youth programs, family resources, and community outreach, we’re expanding the support systems that so many in our region depend on. Pride by the Beach has grown into a true multi-generational celebration, bringing together children, students, families, veterans, active-duty military, allies, educators, and elected officials. It’s more than an event. It’s a living, breathing symbol of authenticity, unity, and belonging that carries through our community long after the music fades.
