About the application

We are currently accepting applications for food vendors at the City of Suwanee's Summer Porch Jam.

 

Various food trucks, snacks, drinks, and treats will be selected for the event. The estimated attendance is approximately 3,000 people. An application does NOT guarantee acceptance. All vendors must make food items in a kitchen inspected by a health department. Cottage license vendors will NOT be accepted. Map and loading instructions will be sent the week of the event.

 

A few quick notes about food vending:

  • Food vendors are NOT permitted to use amplified sound to play music during the event. 
  • Food Tents are NOT allowed to sell items cooked in grease/fryers. Only food trucks and trailers may sell food items cooked in grease/fryers.
  • Glass is NOT permitted. Please refrain from selling any glass bottles.
  • Please submit your most recent health inspection and business license from your county of origin as part of your application.

About the event

The Suwanee Summer Porch Jam was started as part of Make Music Day — an international celebration of music! Launched in 1982 in France, it is held on the Summer Solstice every year in more than 750 cities in 120 countries. Suwanee decided to move our event and keep it on the Friday before the Summer Solstice each year. Summer Porch Jam will have the feel of an old-fashioned summer block party. Featuring food trucks and beer and wine, musicians will be playing outdoors at multiple venues throughout Old Town Suwanee. Attendees are invited to bring a chair or blanket and stroll from venue to venue, enjoying a variety of musicians! Parking is available at Town Center and a shuttle departs from Town Center on Main AND Town Center Park to one of 4 stops along the way. Venues include Huthmakers, The Everett's Music Barn, Mayor Burnette's porch, Suwanee Circle, Burnette Rogers Pavilion, and other porches in the Old Town area! The event is free, and so is the transportation!

The City of Suwanee a Georgia Municipal Corporation, and its agents, employees, and representatives, thereof assume no liability or responsibility for injury or loss that may result to any exhibitor or his/her personal or corporate affects including goods for sale that may occur on the premises or may arise under Suwanee Fest activities. Applicant further agrees, consents, and acknowledges to hold the City of Suwanee, its agents, employees, and representatives harmless for any such injury or loss.

Prices

Food Tent (10' by 10' space) $75.00 Non-refundable Food Tents are for 10' by 10' spaces. If you require a larger space, you must reserve two spaces.
Food Truck or Trailer $100.00 Non-refundable Food Trucks or Trailers will pay $100 for this event. Please, no glass bottles. All trash MUST be removed from the park or an additional cleaning fee of $100 may be charged to the credit card on file.
Food Cart $50.00 Non-refundable Food Carts are booths smaller than 10 feet by 10 feet. These carts may be set up on a sidewalk or alternate placement to the food court area. Please refer to the map sent over email for final placement.
Application Fee $25.00 Non-refundable This application fee is for any person who wishes to be considered for Suwanee Summer Porch Jam. Submission of an application does NOT guarantee acceptance. Vendors will be notified promptly of acceptance. NO food vendors will be allowed who cook on a cottage license. All food must be prepared in a commercially inspected kitchen if being sold on-site.
