Food Vendor Application -July 1-3 Blue Heron Festival

Calling all Food Vendors!! Come and join us on the farm for great music and a wonderful celebration for all! We are looking for food vendors for July 1-3. Apply today so we can see what you have to offer! Submission of an application does not assure a vendor space at this event. We will make selections ASAP and you will receive an acceptance, rejection or waitlist reply by email within 2 weeks of submitting your application.We are expecting 3000 people here on the July 1-3 weekend, which is about half the normal crowd size. To assure that everyone has a good chance to have excellent sales, the number of food booths will also be less than the normal capacity at our past Blue Heron festivals.Fees for food booths are relative to the amount of frontage required. Choices are either 10' frontage x 10' depth ($650), or 20' frontage with 20' depth ($1250). Food trucks should select the 20' x 20' space. Credit card information will be collected with this application, but only charged after acceptance emails are sent. We will wait 2 days from that time to charge the fees to your card.Fees include wristbands for your staff, plus parking/camping stickers for each of your vehicles. Vendors in 10'x10' spaces get 3 wristbands and 1 sticker. Vendors in 20'x20' spaces get 5 wristbands and 2 stickers. Overnight camping is included with vending fees. Extra cars should be parked in the Red Lot (no charge).Electric and water are within reach of each space, but each vendor needs to bring their own water hoses and extension cords. Be as efficient as you can with both. Our electric supply does not allow for air conditioners in RVs. Ask us for local propane suppliers, if needed. We sell ice on site.Vendor may arrive Thursday to set up, anytime after 2pm. Food sales may start Thursday, there will be nearly 1000 people on site by dinner time. Friday arrival is also fine, but you'd need to be ready to serve dinner that day. The music starts Friday around 3pm and goes almost round the clock till Sunday late afternoon. Refer to the website for a full schedule of the music and plan your hours accordingly. Blue Heron weekend traditionally has late-night business both Friday & Saturday. Vendors may close at dusk, if you prefer. Breakfasts are also very popular every morning.Each vendor is required to submit a certificate of liability from your insurance company listing Great Blue Heron Music Festival and Steve & Julie Rockcastle as additional insured on a primary and non-contributory basis with a waiver of subrogation in their favor. This can be attached in this application or emailed to vending@theheron.org.Contact Chautauqua County Dept of Health at 716-753-4481 to start your Temporary Food Vendor Permit application. All vendors are responsible for collecting and paying sales tax to New York State. Our tax rate is 8%. Some clothing items are tax exempt in Chautauqua County.This is a rain or shine event. Vendor fees are non-refundable.
