About the event

Prairie Fest is a four-day festival held in Wood Dale, Illinois. The fest began in 2001 as a one-day picnic to encourage community involvement and togetherness. The celebration has grown into a four-day festival with food, live music, a carnival, and a fireworks display. Where is Prairie Fest? Prairie Fest will be next to Wood Dale Junior High (655 N. Wood Dale Rd.) When is Prairie Fest? Thursday, June 18: 5:30 -10:00 pm Friday, June 19: 5:30 -11 pm Saturday, June 20: 2:30 -11 pm Sunday, June 21: 2:30 -9:30 pm

Terms & Conditions

 Below are some helpful details about Prairie Fest. 

Please note that while the City cannot state a recommended price for each beverage, based on our experience, it is notable that $6 or more per beverage may assist with vendors' business goals. 
 
What items can I sell?
We are accepting applications for beer/alcohol vendors. Vendors will be provided with a 20X30 tent, two six-foot tables or counters, and either chairs or stools.  Potential vendors will be tasked with selling beer, checking IDs, and providing wristbands to adults 21 and older. Vendors are also responsible for ensuring that their staff is BASSETT certified and pays appropriate taxes for all sales. A signed contract is required. Which is included in the application process. The City has final approval on the participation of any food vendor and the beverage and food items being sold. 
 
Beverage vendors are limited to selling alcoholic beverages and bottled water. 
 
Can I sell Food?
The sale of food by beverage vendors is prohibited, and this policy will be strictly enforced unless prior permission is granted by the City of Wood Dale.
 
General notes about vendor space:
Vendors must use power from their booth space only.
Absolutely no booths may be subleased to another vendor.
Refrigeration is the responsibility of the vendor.
No beverages shall be sold in glass bottles. 
Smoking shall not be permitted in tents, canopies, or membrane structures.
Vendors must stay within their space. There will be no soliciting on or around the festival grounds.
Ice is available for purchase on the day of the festival; the cost is $8 for 20 lbs. This will be deducted from your voucher reimbursement.

Vendors must provide their own flooring to go over grass (rubberized mats, wood, etc.)


What is the inspection schedule?
There will be a mandatory health, fire, and safety inspection on Thursday, June 18, at 2 pm. The inspection schedule will be included in your vendor acceptance paperwork. 
 
What if I need to withdraw my application?
You may withdraw your application and receive a refund of your deposit by Friday, May 11, 2026.   After that date, no refunds will be granted.

Upon acceptance, vendors are responsible for the balance of their payment and Certificate of Insurance.

Prices

Deposit $100.00 A $100 deposit is required for Beverage Vendors and will be refunded if the vendor is not selected. The deposit is part of the total cost of the vendor fees.
Beverage Vendor $3,500.00 Non-refundable What’s included in the Beverage Vendor Fee? • Garbage Removal • Electricity • Lighting • Tables or Counters • Chairs or Stools • Once approved, your deposit will be applied to your balance
