The Market on Kern is looking for talented local entertainers to enhance the atmosphere of our market days!

We welcome musicians, DJs, performers, and interactive entertainers who can bring energy and engagement to our community. Whether you’re a solo artist, band, street performer, or cultural act, we’d love to hear from you.

 

Requirements:

Must provide your own equipment (limited power access available).
Performances must be family-friendly.
Set lengths and schedules will be coordinated with market management.
Tips and merchandise sales are allowed.

Welcome to the vibrant Market on Kern, organized by the Downtown Fresno Partnership. Our cozy little certified farmers' market is right in the heart of Downtown Fresno between M & N streets. While we love serving our fantastic local employees and residents. We're on a mission to expand our reach and embrace the beautiful surrounding communities. Join our lively market that accepts EBT, WIC, SNP, and proudly participates in the Market Match program. Calling all farmers, informational booths, crafty creators, and food trucks but we're also open to applications from our awesome community partners, organizations and Downtown businesses. Terms & Conditions

Market on Kern | DJ & Live Performer Terms and Conditions

 

1. Family-Friendly Environment
All performances must be suitable for a family-friendly audience. Music and spoken content must be free of explicit language, violent themes, or any material that could be considered offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate for children.

 

2. Performance Conduct

Performers must maintain a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.
Any form of hate speech, discrimination, or offensive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of the performance and future bookings. Performers must respect market patrons, vendors, and fellow entertainers.

 

3. Set-Up and Sound Levels

Performers are responsible for providing their own equipment unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.
All sound levels must be maintained at an appropriate volume to ensure a pleasant market atmosphere. Market management reserves the right to request volume adjustments at any time.
Electricity access must be arranged in advance; performers using amplified sound must comply with city noise ordinances.

 

4. Scheduling and Commitment

Performers must arrive at least 30 minutes before their scheduled set time for setup and sound check.
Cancellations must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance to allow for scheduling adjustments.
No-shows or frequent cancellations may result in removal from future booking opportunities.

 

5. Compensation & Permits

Compensation (if applicable) will be discussed and confirmed in writing prior to the performance.
Performers collecting tips must do so in a designated area without obstructing walkways or vendor spaces.
If required by local regulations, performers must hold any necessary permits or licenses for public performance

6. Clean-Up & Equipment Removal

Performers are responsible for leaving their designated area clean and free of any trash or debris.
Equipment must be packed and removed promptly after the performance to avoid disruption to market operations.

 

7. Liability & Safety

Performers assume all responsibility for their personal equipment and belongings.
Market on Kern Farmers Market is not liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged equipment.
Performers must comply with all safety guidelines and market regulations to ensure a secure and enjoyable environment for all attendees.

 

8. Compliance & Enforcement

Market management reserves the right to stop any performance that does not comply with these terms.
Failure to adhere to these conditions may result in immediate removal from the market and disqualification from future participation.
