NEW THIS YEAR!
A limited number of small businesses will have the opportunity to promote their products and services at the Cherry Festival. This event has been held for over 100 years and attracts nearly 30,000 people!
A small business/non-artisan is a for-profit small business that does not fall under the artisan or community resource category. A small business is defined as having 20 or fewer employees. Space is limited, and priority is given to San Leandro-based businesses.
About the event
Terms & Conditions
All accepted applicants will receive more detailed information via email by mid-May regarding access times, booth setup, parking passes, security, and more. Load-in begins at approximately 6:00 a.m. on June 6, and vendors must remain until the festival ends at 6:00 p.m. Participants who leave early will not be admitted to future Cherry Festivals.
If your application is "waitlisted," your credit card will not be charged until your participation is confirmed.
Cancellations
The San Leandro Cherry Festival is a rain-or-shine event! There will be no refunds due to inclement weather. Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE after your application has been accepted.

Please answer the questions and acknowledgements below. Applications are considered incomplete until the required photos and documents are uploaded. You will not be able to change your application after it is approved. | Booth Cleaning Deposit (REQUIRED) | $50.00 | All booths must pay a $50 refundable cleaning deposit. All booths must be clear of trash and debris. Garbage must be deposited in festival dumpsters on Clarke St. All booths must be inspected by festival staff before leaving the event area. Failure to check-out with inspectors may result in forfeiture of your deposit. Refunds will be processed by festival staff within one week. Please allow 10-14 days for your refund to appear on your credit card statement. | |

- Please describe your business.
- Please provide a copy of a valid State of California Seller's permit if you plan to sell.
- What are your prices?
- Does your booth require a generator? If yes, please describe the purpose and the size of the generator.
- Are you selling pre-packaged foods or giving samples of food or drinks? If yes, you must have a valid Temporary Food Facility permit.
- Would you prefer to be in the Fun Zone if possible?
- A limited number of vendors in any category will be accepted to the Festival. Decisions are at the sole discretion of the City and based on, but not limited to: The best interest of the festival, history, level of investment, payment, and date of paperwork received. The Festival reserves the right to admit duplicate businesses based on the Festival needs and size. Exclusivity may be extended at the Festival’s discretion.
- The San Leandro Cherry Festival is a rain or shine event! There will be no refunds due to inclement weather. Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE after your application has been accepted.
- Vendors are required to operate the entire time that the Cherry Festival is open from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. To maintain eligibility for future participation, participants must remain on site until the festival concludes at 6:00 p.m.
- Vendors, their staff, employees, and agents must comply with all vendor policies, fire codes, laws, ordinances, and regulations pertinent to health, fire prevention and public safety. Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the event without a refund.
- All booths MUST have a tent. Vendors are required to supply their own tent, tables, and chairs or rent them through the City of San Leandro.
- Booth locations are not guaranteed and are made at the discretion of Festival management.
- Vendor shall be liable for delivery; handling, set up and removal of his/her own displays and equipment. All displays, merchandise, equipment and staff must be contained within the assigned booth space, (items cannot be hung on the outside of the tent). Please note this will be strictly enforced.
- No amplified music, walkway solicitation or “barking” is allowed. Staff/Personnel must remain INSIDE your assigned booth. Walking the grounds to sell merchandise or hand out fliers is strictly prohibited.
- Political activity is restricted to the Free Speech area and is not allowed in any other area of the festival.
- The City of San Leandro does not guarantee vendor sales.
- Vendor must obtain written permission from the City prior to using the City of San Leandro’s logo, event logo, or any logo from the City of San Leandro website in connection with their business.
- All Artisan vendors must pay a $50 refundable cleaning deposit.
- By signing, you are agreeing to the City of San Leandro's Hold Harmless Agreement as described below.
