About the event
Terms & Conditions
- All participants selling books must agree to the Fort Collins Book Fest Author & Book Sales Table Agreement before their table reservation is finalized. By submitting an application and/or paying the Table Reservation Fee, you agree to the terms of the Agreement.
- Submitting an application indicates interest in reserving a book sales / signing table during designated Book Fest sales periods. An application does not guarantee a table, a specific location, or any specific table configuration. If your application is approved, you will be invited to pay the $35 Table Reservation Fee (not prorated, covers all four sales dates in 2026) to confirm your reservation.
- If we cannot accommodate your application due to space, venue constraints, programming needs, or category balance, we will notify you and refund any reservation payment you have made.
- Fort Collins Book Fest reserves the right to rescind and refund a table reservation payment at any time, for any reason, including (but not limited to) policy violations, inappropriate merchandise/display, safety concerns, or operational/venue requirements. Fort Collins Book Fest may adjust table assignments, layouts, or date participation to meet venue requirements and ensure a safe experience. If we cannot accommodate your participation as approved, we will notify you and refund any reservation payment you have made.
- Fort Collins Book Fest will do its best to keep the reservation process clear and fair, and reserves the right to update tools, rules, pricing, schedules, policies, table layouts, and processes as needed to serve the event, comply with venue requirements, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment.
- Howdy Neighbor Events / Fort Collins Book Fest, staff, volunteers, and partners are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to your inventory, materials, or display during setup, operation, or teardown. Staff may require you to remove prohibited, unsafe, or inappropriate items or displays, and may revoke tabling privileges in serious cases.
- All participants are responsible for complying with venue policies and maintaining a clean footprint before, during, and after each sales period, including teardown and removal of all materials. Please plan to keep all items within your assigned space and leave the area in good condition.
- Taxes and legal compliance: Vendors are solely responsible for complying with all applicable municipal, state, and federal requirements related to sales at Fort Collins Book Fest, including obtaining any required licenses/permits and collecting/remitting any required sales taxes.
Preference is given to submissions that:
- Feature an author with current or past ties to Colorado or nearby states
- Feature a book set in, or meaningfully connected to, Colorado or nearby states
- Promote a book released in print (hardback/paperback) since the previous festival and available for sale by the presentation date
- Amplify voices historically underrepresented in publishing (including, but not limited to, BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, neurodivergent, non-English language writers, and economically marginalized creators)

- Print-bound
