About the application
This application is for food vendors interested in serving food or beverages at the Powwow for the Future on April 18–19, 2026 at the UNLV Cox Pavilion. Food vendors will be positioned outdoors in designated areas to ensure safe operations, smooth traffic flow, and full compliance with UNLV and health department regulations. Accepted categories include hot food, prepared meals, specialty snacks, desserts, non-alcoholic beverages, and other licensed food offerings. All food vendors must follow health, safety, and fire protocols, and space may be prioritized based on menu, setup, and event needs.

Terms & Conditions
Booth & Setup
Food vendors will be assigned outdoor spaces designated for cooking and food service.
Standard space includes room for your trailer, tent, or food setup as approved in your application.
All cooking equipment, propane setups, and food prep areas must comply with health and fire codes.
Setup is on Saturday morning; breakdown is Sunday after 6PM only. Early teardown is not permitted.
Licensing & Insurance
Vendors must upload a valid business license and any required food-handling permits.
$1,000,000 liability insurance is required, naming UNLV Board of Regents as additional insured.
You will have an opportunity to purchase insurance for a minimal fee after the application is approved.
Health, Fire, & Safety Requirements
All food vendors must follow SNHD (Southern Nevada Health District) regulations.
All propane tanks, open flames, and cooking appliances must meet fire safety standards.
Fire extinguishers are required and must be accessible at all times.
Handwashing stations and proper sanitation practices are mandatory.
Event Protocols
Vendors must remain open during event hours and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
Walkways, emergency exits, and fire lanes must remain clear at all times.
All food waste, grease, and gray water must be disposed of properly—no on-site dumping permitted.
Power is limited and not guaranteed.
Vendors must notify the event in advance if bringing a generator.
Parking & Load-In
Parking, load-in, and health inspection instructions will be provided prior to the event.
Food trucks and trailers must arrive during their assigned time window.
Vehicles must move immediately after unloading unless they are part of the approved vending setup.
Sales & Conduct
Vendors are responsible for their own payment methods and sales tax compliance.
Only approved food and beverage items may be sold—no alcohol permitted.
Vendors must follow all staff, campus, and safety guidelines throughout the weekend.
Refunds & Liability
Fees are non-refundable once the application is approved.
UNLV and the event are not responsible for loss, theft, equipment failure, or damage.
Vendors participate at their own risk and must operate safely at all times.
