About the application

Returning for 2026, the Music Makers Market is part of the Wire & Wood Songwriters Festival, showcasing local artists and makers whose original art and handcrafted goods are directly inspired by or connected to music. We’re looking for unique work that celebrates the spirit of music — such as reimagined vintage vinyl album art, music-themed paintings, handmade instruments, jewelry, or décor created from musical materials, as well as other creative products that resonate with music lovers.

The market will be centrally located — right in the middle of all the excitement — placing your booth at the heart of the festival, surrounded by live performances, great food, and thousands of music enthusiasts.

Market Hours:

Friday, October 9th: 6:00 PM — 10:00 PM (set up is 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm)

Saturday, October 10th: 12:00 PM — 10:00 PM (load-out does not begin until the streets have cleared and police allow vehicles to re-enter the market area, which may not occur until as late as 11:00 PM)

Vendor spaces are limited and highly sought after, so all applications will be carefully reviewed. Artists and makers will be selected based on:

  1. How well their products connect to music, musicians, or the local music scene
  2. The entertainment and engagement value they add to the festival experience
  3. Completion of the application by the posted deadline, following all guidelines
  4. Our goal of supporting local artists and businesses whenever possible

We can’t wait to see your unique, music-inspired work — thank you for your interest in being part of this creative celebration!

Terms & Conditions

2026 Terms & Conditions — Music Makers Market

GENERAL INFORMATION & AGREEMENT

By reading the information below and submitting this online Artist Market Application & Agreement, you agree to abide by all rules and regulations set forth by the event organizers for the 2026 Wire & Wood Songwriters Festival, which are made part of this agreement by reference.

1. Artist Market Booth Space Is Limited

Event organizers will review each application and notify vendors of acceptance or rejection via email to the address provided in the application. Organizers have sole discretion over which applications are accepted and reserve the right to limit the number of booths of a similar type. All decisions are final.

Please understand that the City of Alpharetta and 1st & Main Events cannot discuss acceptance or non-acceptance by phone or email.

2. Products & Displays

Only products and displays described in this application may be sold at the event. The Music Makers Market is first and foremost a showcase for work that is directly inspired by music. Wire & Wood is a festival that celebrates local and regional songwriters — artists who tell stories through their lyrics and the creation of their music.

In that same spirit, the Music Makers Market seeks artists and makers whose handcrafted work also tells a story: work shaped by music, influenced by musical elements, or created from materials connected to the musical world. Your work should reflect a meaningful relationship to music and express that connection through the craft of your own hands.

All artwork and goods must be original, handcrafted, and music-inspired, as described in the application. The vendor must be present at their booth throughout the festival unless prior arrangements have been approved by festival organizers.

If a vendor conducts activities or displays items not listed in their application, or misrepresents their business in any way, organizers reserve the right to ask the vendor to leave the festival.

3. Rain or Shine

The Music Makers Market within the Wire & Wood Songwriters Festival will take place rain or shine.

All booth fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, and vendors assume all risk regardless of weather conditions or if the event is canceled due to an act of God.

4. Booth Space & Equipment

A 10’ x 10’ booth space will be provided to each vendor for both days. Vendors are responsible for bringing all necessary equipment, including:

A basic show-quality white 10’ x 10’ canopy tent
Tent Safety Requirement: A minimum of 40 pounds of weight per tent leg is required, using professional show-quality sandbag weights or gravity tubes, to safely anchor tents while exhibiting on city property
Tables and chairs
In-booth LED lighting, along with a minimum 100-foot outdoor-rated extension cord, to properly illuminate the booth during evening hours.
Electrical hookups will be provided by the City of Alpharetta.

5. Booth Assignments & Instructions

Booth assignments, load-in/load-out details, and setup/breakdown instructions will be emailed to accepted vendors at least one week prior to the event.

6. Responsibility for Merchandise

The City of Alpharetta and 1st & Main Events are not responsible for loss or damage to merchandise. Vendors are strongly encouraged not to leave valuables overnight, as organizers cannot be held responsible for theft or loss.

7. Liability Waiver & Release

Participants assume all responsibility for risks and hazards associated with participation. In consideration of permission to use the requested space, vendors and all members of their group release 1st & Main Events and the City of Alpharetta — including all officials, officers, employees, sponsors, organizers, supervisors, volunteers, participants, and agents — from any and all claims, demands, rights, or causes of action arising from participation in the event.

Insurance - Vendors should obtain, at their own expense, any general liability insurance they deem necessary for participation.

8. Sales Tax Requirement

Vendors are responsible for collecting and remitting Georgia sales tax at a rate of 7.75% on all taxable sales.

Sales tax must be submitted to the Georgia Department of Revenue either:

Through the vendor’s Georgia Tax Center (GTC) sales tax account, or
No later than three (3) days after the event via standard mail using the Special Event Miscellaneous Sales Tax Form provided in the vendor check-in/load-in packet.

Vendors are solely responsible for complying with all state tax regulations.

Submission of an application indicates acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms.
