About the application

Taste Asia Streets LLC invites non-profit organizations to join the first-ever Asian Lunar Festival in Downtown Athens! This two-day cultural celebration welcomes community groups, educational organizations, and service-based nonprofits to connect with thousands of attendees while supporting cultural understanding, community outreach, and local engagement.

What Non-Profits Can Do

Application Requirements
Applicants will be asked to provide:

Organization name and contact information
Brief mission statement
Description of booth activities or engagement plans
Whether any items will be distributed or sold
Booth size needs and power requirements (limited availability)
Proof of nonprofit status (e.g., EIN or 501(c)(3) documentation)
Selection Process
To ensure a diverse and engaging lineup, all applications will be reviewed based on community impact, alignment with the festival’s mission, and space availability. Acceptance is not guaranteed. Approved organizations will receive confirmation, logistical details, and booth payment instructions (if applicable).

About the event

Celebrate the first-ever Asian Lunar Festival in the heart of Downtown Athens, Georgia, a vibrant two-day cultural experience bringing together tradition, food, and community. From February 14–15, 2026, Athens will come alive with the colors, flavors, and sounds of Lunar New Year celebrations from across Asia. Experience an immersive journey through Asian culture featuring: Authentic street food vendors highlighting cuisines from China, Vietnam, Korea, Thailand, Japan, the Philippines, and more Live performances, including lion and dragon dances, K-Pop showcases, traditional drumming, martial arts, and cultural music Art & craft markets with handmade goods, calligraphy, lantern crafts, clothing, and cultural souvenirs Family-friendly activities, including kids’ craft stations, zodiac-themed games, and interactive cultural demos Community cultural booths sharing heritage, traditions, and stories This milestone event marks the beginning of a new Athens tradition — a celebration that welcomes everyone to explore, learn, and enjoy the rich diversity of Asian cultures. Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all approved vendors participating in the Asian Lunar Festival (“Event”). By submitting an application and/or participating in the Event, the vendor (“Vendor”) agrees to the following:

 
1. Vendor Approval & Payment
All vendors are subject to review and approval by Taste Asia Streets LLC (“Organizer”).
Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.
Upon approval, vendors must submit full payment by the deadline stated in the acceptance email.
Vendor spaces are not reserved until payment is received in full.
All fees are non-refundable unless the Event is canceled by the Organizer.
 
2. Booth Setup & Operation
Vendors must adhere to the assigned booth location and layout.
Setup and breakdown must occur during the designated times provided by the Organizer.
Vendors must be fully operational during all festival hours on both days. Early breakdown is prohibited.
Vendor must supply their own tents, tables, chairs, and equipment unless otherwise specified.
All tents must be weighted according to Downtown Athens safety requirements (minimum 40 lbs per tent leg, unless otherwise mandated).
 
3. Compliance & Permits
Vendors are responsible for complying with all local, county, and state regulations, including licenses, tax requirements, and health department rules.
Food vendors must obtain all required health permits and undergo inspections if requested.
Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting their own sales tax.
Any vendor selling counterfeit, infringing, illegal, or culturally inappropriate items will be removed without refund.
 
4. Insurance & Liability
Vendors are encouraged (and food vendors may be required) to carry general liability insurance. Proof must be submitted if requested.
Vendor participation is at their own risk.
The Organizer, City of Athens, Downtown Athens, and all associated partners are not liable for any loss, theft, damage, injury, or accident occurring before, during, or after the Event.
Vendors assume full responsibility for their merchandise, equipment, and personal property.
 
5. Electricity & Equipment
Electrical access is limited and must be requested in advance.
Vendors must bring their own extension cords, surge protectors, and equipment needed for safe operation.
Generators must be pre-approved and meet noise and safety standards.
The Organizer is not responsible for power outages or electrical limitations.
 
6. Cleanliness & Waste Management
Vendors must maintain a clean booth area throughout the Event.
All trash, grease, and waste must be disposed of properly in designated areas.
Vendors will be charged a cleaning fee if their booth area is left in unsatisfactory condition.
 
7. Weather Policy
The Event is rain-or-shine, unless severe weather creates unsafe conditions.
No refunds will be issued for weather-related interruptions or Vendor withdrawal due to weather.
 
8. Behavior & Conduct
Vendors and staff must behave professionally at all times.
Harassment, aggressive sales tactics, discriminatory behavior, or unsafe practices will result in removal without refund.
Music or amplified sound must be approved and kept at a reasonable volume.
 
9. Sales & Product Restrictions
Vendors may only sell items listed and approved in their application.
Any changes to products must be approved by the Organizer prior to the Event.
Food vendors may not sell alcohol unless licensed and explicitly approved.
Items that are offensive, unsafe, or culturally insensitive are prohibited.
 
10. Cancellation or Changes by Organizer
The Organizer reserves the right to modify festival layout, relocate vendor booths, or adjust operating hours as needed.
In the event of cancellation by the Organizer, vendors will receive a refund of the booth fee only.
The Organizer is not responsible for reimbursement of any travel, lodging, supplies, or other expenses incurred by the Vendor.
 
11. Indemnification
Vendor agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Taste Asia Streets LLC, its owners, employees, volunteers, sponsors, the City of Athens, and associated entities from any claims, damages, losses, or liabilities arising from the Vendor’s participation in the Event.

 
12. Agreement
By submitting an application or participating in the Asian Lunar Festival, the Vendor acknowledges they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions.
