About the application
Food vendors include those preparing food or drinks for on-site consumption, including food trucks. If your food is pre-packaged, please apply for an "Artisan, Pre-Packaged & Interactive Booth" space.
SPACE IS LIMITED, APPLY EARLY!
All applicants must have a cherry item or a cherry-themed item on their menu. Approved menus will be strictly enforced. The City of San Leandro attempts to limit the number of similar items.
Applications for Food Vendors will be evaluated on the following criteria:
1. Quality and variety of food products;
2. Cherry food item;
3. Healthy food offerings (low fat, low sugar, etc.);
4. San Leandro-based;
5. Duplication of products and services;
6. Returning food vendor in good standing with the City of San Leandro;
7. Date that the completed application is received.
Vendor acceptance decisions are at the sole discretion of the City. The Festival reserves the right to admit duplicate businesses or extend exclusivity based on Festival size and needs.

Participant Acceptance and Notifications
Your credit card will be charged upon acceptance as a vendor.
Your cleaning deposit will be charged on May 15, 2026. Cleaning deposit refunds will be processed by festival staff using your original payment method within seven days of the event. Please allow 10-14 days for the credit to appear on your statement. Please note: you must have your booth area inspected and approved by festival staff before leaving the festival grounds in order to receive your refund. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of your cleaning deposit.
All accepted applicants will receive more detailed information via email by mid-May regarding access times, booth setup, parking passes, security, and more. Load-in begins at approximately 6:00 a.m. on June 6, and vendors must remain until the festival ends at 6:00 p.m. To maintain eligibility for future participation, participants must stay on-site until the festival concludes at 6:00 p.m.
If your application is "Waitlisted," your credit card will not be charged until your participation is confirmed.
Cancellations
The San Leandro Cherry Festival is a rain-or-shine event! There will be no refunds due to inclement weather. Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE after your application has been accepted.

- Electricity at the Festival is limited to certain areas of the festival and is only provided by pre-arrangement. A limited number of personal generators may be allowed at the Festival's discretion.
- If you require electricity or plan on using a generator, please complete and upload the "Food Vendor Equipment Form" unless already submitted above.
- Your cleaning deposit will be charged on May 15, 2026. Cleaning deposit refunds will be processed by festival staff using your original payment method within seven days of the event. - The San Leandro Cherry Festival is a rain or shine event! No refunds will be given for inclement weather.
- Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE after your application has been accepted. Your fees will be automatically charged upon acceptance. Cleaning deposits will be charged on May 15, 2025.
- The City of San Leandro does not guarantee vendor sales.
- Vendors, their staff, employees, and agents must comply with all vendor policies, fire codes, laws, ordinances, and regulations pertinent to health, fire prevention and public safety. Failure to comply may result in expulsion from the event without a refund.
- A limited number of vendors in any category will be accepted to the Festival. Decisions are at the sole discretion of the City and based on, but not limited to: The best interest of the festival, history, level of investment, payment, and date of paperwork received. The Festival reserves the right to admit duplicate businesses based on the Festival needs and size. Exclusivity may be extended at the Festival’s discretion.
- Vendors are required to operate the entire time that the Cherry Festival is open from 11:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. To maintain eligibility for future participation, participants must remain on site until the festival concludes.
- All booths MUST have a tent. Vendors are required to supply their own tent, tables, and chairs or rent them through the City of San Leandro.
- Booth locations are not guaranteed and are made at the discretion of Festival management.
- Vendor shall be liable for delivery; handling, set up and removal of his/her own displays and equipment.
- All displays, merchandise, equipment and staff must be contained within the assigned booth space (items cannot be hung on the outside of the tent.) Please note this will be strictly enforced.
- No amplified music, walkway solicitation or “barking” is allowed. Staff/Personnel must remain INSIDE your assigned booth.
- Walking the grounds to sell merchandise or hand out fliers is strictly prohibited.
- Political activity is restricted to the Free Speech area and is not allowed in any other area of the festival.
- Vendor must obtain written permission from the City prior to using the City of San Leandro’s logo, festival logo, or any logo from the City of San Leandro website in connection with their business.
- Vendor meets the insurance requirements and will submit for review and approval no later than March 30, 2026.
- All accepted food vendors are required to have a health permit issued by Alameda County and submit a receipt of payment via Eventeny "Message" function for the permit no later than May 15. The actual permit must be submitted via Eventeny "Message" prior to June 5.

- Vendors are NOT allowed to use Styrofoam® products for serving food and beverages. Food service ware must be compostable or recyclable. The City of San Leandro will not refund deposits to any vendor using Styrofoam® food service ware.
- By signing, you are agreeing to the City of San Leandro's Hold Harmless Agreement as described below.
