About the application
What began as the beloved Free Comic Book Day event has grown into a full convention experience. And this year, in honor of our 10-year partnership with Galactic Quest, we’re celebrating with a new name and a fresh new look for the event! Celebrate with us and dive into DTL CON-Quest!
Last year, our event saw over 10000 people throughout the day. We hosted panels and workshops, had a cosplay competition, filled the downtown streets with roaming characters and music, hosted an improv comedy show, and had over 45 vendors celebrating a multitude of fandoms. But the most important thing to know about our award-winning family-friendly event is that it is FREE to the public.
What We Look for in a Cosplay Guest:
• Individuals who can appeal to a family-friendly crowd.
• Individuals who can encourage others to compete in the cosplay contest. (We prefer guests who live within a reasonable driving distance of our event, but are open to those who live a little further as well.)
• Works well with our staff, other cosplay guests and judges, and of course our attendees.
• Reliable, punctual, good communication with our staff.
• Individuals who will encourage others to come out and enjoy the event.
What We Typically Ask For:
• All cosplay guests' cosplays must be appropriate for a family-friendly environment.
• A completed Cosplay to display at your booth.
• 2-3 referrals to compete in our cosplay contest.
• Be present during the entire event. Load-in is at 9:00 am. The event occurs between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. (A 30-minute break will be provided.)
• Promotional Social Media content about the event. If selected, Cosplay Guests will need to sign our Social Media Agreement.
What We Typically Provide:
• An appearance fee. This is an all-inclusive amount.
• A table in our artist/vendor hall or Cosplay gallery.
• T-shirt

Terms & Conditions
*Please note that all requirements for the event must be met to receive full payment within 7-10 days after the event. You are agreeing to the following:
- Submission of ETF, Vendor Management Form, and W9 at least 2 weeks before the event. (Forms will be provided after approval.)
- Participation from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm with a 30-minute provided break.
- All cosplay guests' cosplays must be appropriate for a family-friendly environment. If you have any questions about this please feel free to ask or send us photos ahead of time if booked.
- Submission of a completed cosplay to be showcased in our Cosplay gallery.
- Promotional Social Media content following guidelines provided by the City of Lawrenceville in the social media agreement. (See attached document)
- 2-3 referrals to compete in our cosplay contest. Referrals will need to provide your name in their contest registration.
This is not an official booking. Cosplay guests will receive a message once approved.

- Do you agree to the terms listed within this document including giving your permission for the City of Lawrenceville and Downtown Lawrenceville to use content footage, such as reels, posts, photos, and stories, indefinitely to use across social media platforms, emails, newsletters, websites, and other promotional materials for event promotion. Failure to meet ALL contractual requirements may result in relinquishment of duties and a forfeiture of payment?
