About the application
Downtown Vision is so excited to partner with Vagabond Flea to bring a special holiday market to DTJax.
Apply for a spot to display and sell your work at First Wednesday Art Walk x Vagabond Flea. We welcome and encourage submissions of unique, original, and authentic works of art and handmade goods. Our event celebrates creativity and craftsmanship, and we value pieces that reflect the artist’s individual voice, vision, and effort. Mass-produced or commercially manufactured items will not be considered.
There is a $45 participation fee that will be charged if you are accepted.
Items Allowed:
- Materials/Crafts/Art:
Clay: Original clay and porcelain work, functional or sculptural.
Fiber/Clothing: Includes wearable and non-wearable. No forms of mass production techniques will be accepted.
Glass: Functional and sculptural work is accepted. Kiln forming, blowing, molding, or casting, as well as all cold working processes, are permitted.
Jewelry: Only those artists accepted in the jewelry category may display or sell jewelry. Items made from commercial parts may not be exhibited.
Metal: Sculptural or decorative work made from metal. No jewelry will be accepted in this category.
Mixed Media: Work which combines materials from two or more mediums in one piece.
Musical Instruments: Handmade instruments.
Natural Materials: This includes basket weaving, chair caning, brooms, gourds, and other works made from materials found in nature.
Photography: Includes traditional film photography, hand-colored images, emulsion transfers, and digital photography. Only the artist’s original source material is acceptable.
Printmaking: Only hand-pulled original prints are allowed.
Sculpture: Three-dimensional work using additive or subtractive processes in a single medium.
Two-Dimensional: Drawing, painting, and digital works. Artists may sell prints of their original work.
- Wood: Original works that are hand-tooled, machine-worked, turned, or carved.

- Self-care products such as candles, essential oils, and crystals
- Antiques
- Plants & Flowers
Items NOT allowed at Art Walk include:
- Kits, imports, and mass-produced items purchased for resale
- Items created by another artist
- Art containing explicit language, violence, hate speech, graphic nudity, or anything else questionable for small children. This is a family-friendly event.

About the event
Terms & Conditions
- Submitting an application does not guarantee your acceptance into the event.
- No forms of mass production techniques will be accepted.
- Food vendors, entertainers, businesses, non profit organizations or religious/political affiliated groups are not to apply as an artist.
- Artists are responsible for providing their own setup including: tables, a tent, tent weights, chairs, extension cords, etc.
Downtown Vision, Inc. (“DVI”), as the producer, maintains its sole discretion to approve or deny any potential vendor, artist, or other participant at First Wednesday Art Walk based on the best interests of the event and its attendees.
