About the application

We are looking for local chefs who share our love for Chocolate to join us at the Annual Downtown Coeur d’Alene's Chocolate Affair, taking place on Saturday, February 7, from 2 pm – 6 pm. 

 This is a fun opportunity to advertise your restaurant or food business and participate in a friendly competition among regional chefs. This one-day event plays host to 800 attendees.

About the event

Wander through downtown businesses with your friends or Valentine and sample locally hand-crafted sweet treats as they become pop-up chocolate shops! The Chocolate Affair, will take place February 7 from 2:00  PM – 6:00 PM! With over 20 different tasting locations tasting tickets can be redeemed for bite-sized gourmet chocolate treats with the option to add 8 (1oz) wine tastings to create the perfect pairing! Check-in will take place at the Resort Plaza Shops at 210 E Sherman Ave, Coeur d'Alene ID 83814. Terms & Conditions

  • Chefs need to provide 800 BITE-SIZED samples, there should not be any full-sized samples.
  • Chefs will be provided a stipend for participation for your time/product with $300.
  • Professional chocolatiers will have the opportunity to sell full-sized treats of any kind inside the host site business and/or distribute coupons.
  • Cash prizes will be awarded to the winner of each category - "Chocolatier Master" and "Chocolate Connoisseur's Choice". Host sites and Chocolatiers can choose which category they would like to be entered into. *Chocolatier Master must be a professional baker/chocolatier*
  • Event attendees will not be allowed to have “to-go boxes” of any kind (plastic bags, Tupperware, boxes, etc.).
