Thank you for joining us for this year’s Christmas in the Boro Parade!

The 2025 theme is “Christmas Around the World”, and we encourage all participants to embrace the spirit of global celebration! Decorate your float, vehicle, or group to showcase the beauty and traditions of different countries and cultures — get creative and have fun bringing international holiday cheer to our community.

A waiver will be required to be signed on the day of the event.

Participant Waiver and Release of Liability 

Waiver and Release Agreement 

This Waiver and Release of Liability (“Agreement”) is executed by the undersigned participant, or in the case of a minor, the undersigned parent/guardian, in consideration of being permitted to participate in the Christmas in the Boro Festival Parade (“Parade”) to be held in Statesboro, Georgia, on December 5, 2025. 

1. Assumption of Risk 

I, the undersigned, understand and acknowledge that participation in the Parade involves certain risks, including but not limited to personal injury, property damage, or even death, caused by factors such as crowd interactions, vehicular movement, weather conditions, or failure to follow Parade instructions. I hereby voluntarily assume all risks, known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, and disclosed or undisclosed, associated with my participation in the Parade. 

2. Release of Liability 

In consideration of being allowed to participate in the Parade, I, the undersigned, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and assigns, hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue the Christmas in the Boro Festival, the City of Statesboro, Main Street Statesboro, or the Downtown Statesboro Development Authority, or any of their respective employees, agents, volunteers, sponsors, or any other persons or entities associated with the Parade (collectively, the “Released Parties”), from any and all claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to my participation in the Parade, including but not limited to claims for personal injury, death, or property damage. 

3. Indemnification 

I agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all liability, claims, damages, costs, or expenses (including attorneys' fees) that do or may result from my actions during the Parade, including any damage or injury to other participants, spectators, or property. 

4. Conduct and Safety 

I agree to follow all rules, instructions, and safety guidelines provided by Parade organizers, including but not limited to the Parade route, staging areas, federal, state, and local laws, regulations, ordinances, and guidelines, and conduct toward other participants and spectators. I understand that failure to comply as set forth herein may result in my removal from the Parade. 

5. Medical Treatment 

In the event of injury or medical emergency, I authorize the Parade organizers or their representatives to seek emergency medical treatment on my behalf. I understand that I will be responsible for any costs related to such treatment.

6. Photography and Media Release 

I consent to the use of my image, likeness, and voice in photographs, video recordings, or other media taken during the Parade for promotional, marketing, or other purposes by the Parade organizers and their affiliates. I waive any right to compensation for such use. 

7. Severability 

If any part of this Agreement is deemed to be unenforceable or invalid, the remainder of the Agreement will remain in full force and effect. 

8. Governing Law 

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
