About the application
It is parade time once again! Entry Deadline is December 3, 2025 @ 4:00 PM. ALL floats & entries will be judged. Winners will be selected in five categories and receive a cash prize.
Judging will begin at 6:00 PM on December 6, 2025

Entry fee will be one (1) new unwrapped toy.
The Criteria for judging an entry will be based on creativity, attractiveness, music, and use of theme and lights.
Please carefully read the enclosed rules and keep them for your information. Additional copies are available at the City Hall.
It is not the intent of these rules to exclude any person, group, organizations, or associations from participating in the Gun Barrel City 2025 Christmas Parade nor is it the intent for the rules to cover every potential issue. Rules may be adjusted up to and during the parade as needed.
1. If you would like your entry to be considered for judging, the use of the current year’s theme is mandatory.
2. The term X-MAS may not be used on any entry.
3. No Santa suits – there is only ONE Santa and he will be on a firetruck in the parade.
4. Participants may use large floodlights to help light “scenes” on their floats. Please be sure floodlights are aimed in toward the float and not toward the outside of the float.
5. Commercial entries may not display prices or sale signs on entries.
6. All animal waste must be cleaned up on the parade route.
7. Please maintain a space of at least two (2) car lengths between your entry and the entry ahead of you. The parade moves at approximately 3-5 miles per hour.
8. Due to our safety concern for the children, any parade float wishing to have candy must have parade walkers to walk along side the float and throw the candy along the sidewalk. NO CANDY CAN BE THROWN FROM THE FLOAT.
9. Companies/Cities are limited to two (2) vehicles.
10. Sirens and/or horns can be used periodically. Continuous sirens or honking is not allowed.
11. Music is greatly appreciated. (Limited to the season)
12. The entry fee is one (1) new unwrapped toy. To be dropped off at City Hall before the event, OR brought to the parade route day of event.
13. No Political Signs
14. Non-parade vehicles not allowed in staging area.
15. Jumping on or off the floats during the parade is strictly prohibited.

- Entry Fee will be one (1) new unwrapped toy brought to Gun Barrel City Hall or brought day of parade to the pavilion after the conclusion of the event.
- The parade line up will begin at 3:00 p.m. at Walmart, at which time you will receive your line up number. Please enter at the far west parking lot entrance. Order for parade route is first come first serve.
- Activities such as parades can pose a safety risk to participants. By submitting this application, you understand this risk for you and the participants on your float and agree to assume full responsibility for the safety of your participants
