Terms & Conditions
Chef Demonstration Terms & Conditions
Coupeville, WA – March 7–8, 2026
Chefs are invited to showcase a mussel-based recipe during Musselfest 2026. Participation is free of charge. By applying, chefs agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Event Support
Organizer provides: fresh mussels, cook tops, 12 ingredient pantry (list to be provided in February, skillets, utensils, serving bowls, serving utensils, and napkins.
Chefs must provide: all additional recipe ingredients.
2. Recipe Submission
A mussel-based recipe must be submitted no later than February 20, 2026.
3. Demonstration Format
Each chef demonstration will serve approximately 75 attendees.
Demo time: 45 minutes.
Chefs have 30 minutes for set-up before the start of their demo and 15 minutes for clean-up after.
4. Logistics
$250 stipend paid to each participating chef.
Free parking will be available.
Accommodations will be provided upon request.
5. Conduct & Responsibility
Chefs agree to maintain safe food-handling practices at all times.
Chefs are responsible for timely arrival and adherence to the demonstration schedule.
Professional and courteous conduct is expected.
6. Independent Contractor
Chefs are considered independent contractors. This agreement does not create an employer/employee relationship with Musselfest.
