About the application
Join us as we celebrate 250 years of the U.S. Navy at the Run Up for Heroes 5K & Fall Festival at the USS Orleck Naval Museum at the river! We’re inviting a limited number of food vendors to bring flavor and fun to this patriotic, family-friendly event.
Expect a high-energy crowd of runners, veterans, military families, and local supporters. We’re looking for food trucks and booths offering breakfast, snacks, and fall-themed favorites.
📍 Location:
USS Orleck Naval Museum – 610 E Bay St., Jacksonville, FL 32202
🕕 Load-In: Begins at 6:00 AM sharp
⏰ Set-Up Deadline: Must be fully set up by 8:00 AM
🚧 Street Closures: Begin at 7:00 AM, so early arrival is essential.

1,000+ attendees including families, veterans, and festivalgoers

Food Vendor Terms & Conditions
By submitting your application to vend at the Run Up for Heroes 5K & Fall Festival, you agree to the following terms:
1. Fees and Refunds
Vendor fees are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by the organizer.
Full payment is due upon application approval to secure your space.
2. Permits & Licensing
All food vendors must comply with local health department regulations and hold all necessary food service permits and business licenses.
Vendors are encouraged to carry general liability insurance, though it is not required.
3. Health & Safety
Vendors are responsible for keeping their area clean, safe, and in accordance with all food safety and fire safety requirements.
Fire extinguishers are recommended for vendors using cooking equipment or generators.
4. Power & Equipment
Vendors must bring all necessary equipment (e.g., tables, tents, signage, power sources).
Generators must be quiet, safe, and approved for public use.
No open flames without written approval from event staff.
5. Booth Operation
Vendors must remain open and staffed for the entire duration of the event.
Early breakdown is not allowed.
Vendors are responsible for cleaning their area before departure. Failure to do so may impact future participation.
6. Vendor Conduct
Vendors must act in a professional and respectful manner at all times.
The event is family-friendly. No offensive materials, language, or products will be permitted.
No amplified music is allowed at individual vendor booths.
7. Liability Disclaimer
Helping Hands for Heroes Inc., the USS Orleck Naval Museum, and all affiliated partners and volunteers are not responsible for any loss, theft, damage, or injury that may occur.
Vendors participate at their own risk and are responsible for the safety of their staff, equipment, and setup.
8. Cause & Commitment
All proceeds from the event support Helping Hands for Heroes Inc., a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to housing and supporting Jacksonville's veterans.
Your participation helps make a lasting impact in the lives of those who have served.
9. Application Approval
Submission of an application does not guarantee acceptance.
Helping Hands for Heroes reserves the right to approve or deny vendors at its discretion.
