Our kid-powered parade rolls in just before the Winder Christmas Parade in downtown Winder, Georgia! Described as the warm-up act to the main event, little riders are invited to deck out their trikes, bikes, scooters, and wagons—and themselves—for a festive ride down Broad Street.

Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the parade. You will be notified by email if you have been approved, rejected, or waitlisted by Nov 3. Guidelines, Rules and Regulations Pet Parade Rules and Waiver
All riders and participants must follow all parade rules. Participation in the parade represents an understanding and agreement to these rules. All approved participants must attend a mandatory pre-parade virtual meeting. Date and time will be provided after applications have closed.
Pre-registration is requested. All entries will be reviewed and approved by City staff. You will receive a notification by email confirming your status (approved, waitlisted, or denied) by November 3.
Check-in begins at 1:45 p.m. at the Winder Fire Department. The parade will begin at approximately 2:00 p.m. and travel a short, designated route through downtown Winder.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. That adult must walk alongside their child for the entirety of the parade.
Participants must provide their own ride-on vehicle, such as tricycles, bicycles (with training wheels, if needed), wagons, scooters, or strollers. Skateboards, hoverboards, and motorized vehicles are not permitted.
All wheels must be human-powered—no battery-operated or gas-powered devices allowed.
All riders must wear helmets while on bicycles, tricycles, or scooters. This is for their safety and required to participate.
Decorations and costumes are encouraged! Feel free to get festive and decorate your ride, but no Santa costumes are allowed for participants.
All children and adults must stay within the designated parade path and behind barricades at all times. No throwing of candy, toys, or other objects.
Participants must be able to stay with the group at a walking pace. This is not a race or competition.
City of Winder staff and volunteers reserve the right to remove any participant who is being unsafe, disruptive, or not following the guidelines.
