LATP 2026 Vendor/Display Space Application
About the application
The 12th annual Live at the Plaza summer concert series is back for 2026! Every Friday in May and June the City will feature a local band in the family-friendly atmosphere of Government Plaza. The shows are held from 6 to 9 p.m., and admission is free and open to the public. A limited number of spaces will be available each week for vendor/display space on Government Plaza. Please select all dates that you are interested in attending. Do note, we receive an overabundance of applications each season, and you may not be approved for all of the dates you select. Application Deadline: Friday, February 27, 2026 11:59 p.m. Cost: There is a $25 Non-Refundable fee for each Live at the Plaza event attended. If you pay by credit card, there is an additional credit card processing fee. Credit card invoices will be sent the Monday before the event. Cash and checks (payable to the City of Tuscaloosa) will be accepted at the Special Events office located in the Mercedes-Benz Amphitheater. Money will be due by 12 p.m. the day before the event. About the event
Terms & Conditions
The following guidelines apply to display vendors this season:
Retail sales are prohibited unless the vendor has a mobile food vending license, a City of Tuscaloosa Business License, a City of Tuscaloosa franchise license, or a 2026 City of Tuscaloosa transient business license. The revenue department will determine which license you need. Display space will be limited to a 10’ x 10’ area and will not include a tent, table, or chairs. If you need more than one 10'x10' space, you will need to notate that under special requests, and you will be charged for two spaces. The vendor must bring their own tent, table, and chairs, but note that the tent must be weighted down and cannot be staked into the ground. If not properly weighted, tent must be taken down.
Payment for each event you have been selected for, will be charged to the card on file included on your application, on Wednesday at 12:00PM noon that week. Please ensure this is the card you would like charged each event. If not, let us know so we can update the payment method for you. If you can no longer attend an event, you must inform us prior to the deadline to cancel your space and prevent your card from being charged. No refunds will be given.
Each event includes ONE 10’x10’ space. If you require a 10’x20’ tent, please let us know so we can allocate space appropriately. Payment is charged at $25 per 10’x’10 space.
A map of the event with your vending location, as well as load-in/out instructions, will be provided prior to each event.
May not pull onto the sidewalk or the Government Plaza area.
Set up will begin at 5:00PM and you must be set up and ready by 6:00PM. Please be aware of and anticipate citizens arriving around 5:30PM.
Must stay for the duration of the event’s hours (6:00PM to 9:00PM). No vendor will be permitted to leave until after the event ends and the Plaza is cleared, please do not leave until we instruct you to do so for the safety of citizens.
Must provide own materials required for vending including items such as tents, tables, and chairs.
Your tent must be weighed down via weights on each tent leg. NO staking into the ground of any kind is allowed on Government Plaza.
NO access to power or Wi-Fi is guaranteed. If indicated on your application, we will do our best to accommodate requests for power.
The event is rain or shine. However, in the event of complete cancellation due to severe weather, you will be contacted immediately.
