About the application

Calling all performers! The Fair Oaks Recreation & Park District is looking for talented performers and groups to bring festive cheer to our main stage at the Christmas in Fair Oaks Tree Lighting event! To be considered as a performer or demonstration group, please fill out the entire application form and submit no later than October 20th. We will continue to take applications after October 21,2025 as space allows. All Christmas in Fair Oaks entertainment must be family focused. No compensation will be paid to performer or demonstration group. Performances will be as early as 4:30pm and as late as 7:15pm. FORPD will do our best to work with your group but ultimately the performance time and details will be decided by FORPD and what works best for the event itself. FORPD will notify each individual or group after the October 20th deadline. Be sure to read through all the terms and conditions.  

About the event

Celebrate the magic of the season at our beloved Tree Lighting event! Bring the whole family and enjoy an evening filled with heartwarming holiday cheer, including photos with Santa, community stage performances, children’s games and activities, hot cocoa, and more! The tree will be lit at 7:00pm.

Terms & Conditions

Fair Oaks Recreation and Park District will equip the performance stage with the following: portable sound system, four standing speakers (capable of playing a cd or up to date iPod), two microphones, and two microphone stands. All other equipment above and beyond what is provided will need to be brought, set up, and cleaned up by you or your group. Additional AMPS will not be allowed to be plugged into provided sound system. It is suggested for bands to bring personal sound system and set up. Electrical outlets are available within 10 feet of the performance stage, however they will be limited. Bringing a surge protector/extension cords are recommended. Please note, you will not be able to leave props or equipment on stage, as we will have rotating performances. NOTE:  The performance stage is not equipped to allow performances involving heavy movement or dancers.  Dance performances will perform in front of the stage on asphalt, and will be accepted on a case by case basis.  Please contact Mary Stoakley for more information.
