About the application
Calling all pie perfectionists and baking enthusiasts! Do you take pride in your cherry pie? Showcase your culinary skills at the San Leandro Cherry Festival's Cherry Pie Contest on Saturday, June 7th. Whether your pie is a family recipe or a stroke of baking genius, we invite you to submit your creation for tasting and presentation.
Ribbons will be awarded in three categories: Adult Traditional, Adult Non-Traditional, and Youth (16 and under).

Contest Criteria
Presentation, Taste, Texture, and Overall Appeal
Pie must be homemade, both filling and crust, and in a non-returnable baking dish.
Please bring your pie recipe (on a 3 x 5-inch index card) and complete this entry form.
Please write your name on a piece of painters' or masking tape and put it on the underside of your pie plate. Pie plates will be available for pickup on Monday, June 9. Please email juliaj@downtownsanleandro.com to arrange a time.
Your entry must be turned in between 11:00 a.m. and Noon on June 7, 2025, to the Pie Contest Booth located at the corner of Hays St. and W. Estudillo Ave. No late entries accepted.
Judging is held at the Cherry Festival. At 2 p.m., winners will be announced on the Main Stage, ribbons awarded, and the winners listed in the San Leandro Times.
