About the application
When: Sundays, June 1st - June 29th (select one or multiple dates)
Where: City Market Square - E 3rd St & Walnut St
Time: 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Load-in: 6:30 a.m. - 7:45 a.m.
Load-out: 3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Booths available: 32
Booth Fee: 10 x 10' space - $45 per Sunday + 7% processing fee (Due in full on upon Approval)

- Application is open to handcrafted/handmade makers and fine artists that live within a 50 mile radius of Kansas City.
- Vendors are selected based on their level of professionalism, experience, booth presentation, quality and product type. Photos of booth display inside a canopy are HIGHLY important and required for selection.
- Vendors must provide their own 10x10 canopy, 20-30lb weights per leg, chairs, tables, tablecloths, and displays.
- We encourage live art and live paintings at ALL our events, so feel free to bring your supplies...shoppers LOVE to engage with artists creating on the spot :)

Approved Categories & Curation
Vendors are selected through a curation method. Uploading a detailed booth photo showcasing your display and 10x10 canopy is HIGHLY important for selection and placement purposes.
Unfortunately, we are unable to allow the following types of vendors at this location:
- Physical contact services (massage, henna, face painting etc.)
- Religious, occult or spiritual related vendors/items (tarot readers, psychics, etc.)
- Vendors with non-family friendly merchandise (nudity, vulgar language, drug related paraphernalia, etc.)
- Food vendors (Art Garden KC cannot host food vendors at this event as it competes with City Market Farmer's Market - food vendors can apply via the City Market website)
- Commercial and/or non-profit sponsors.
Timeline
The application will go live in one month increments and will follow the timeline below:
- First day of each month - applications open for the following month. (i.e. July applications would go live on June 1st).
- Approximately 14 days later - Vendor selections begin. Selected vendors will be charged upon approval. Application remains open for vendors interested in being placed on the waitlist. All vendors will receive an application status update, whether approved, waitlisted or denied.
- Wednesday before event - vendors will receive an instruction email with booth placements, maps and any updates for the event (i.e. weather notices etc)
Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellations must be made via email (hello@artgardenkc.org) or Eventeny message platform at least 7 days prior to the date for which you are scheduled in order to receive a full refund.
- This event takes place rain or shine. If the event takes place and the vendor decides not to attend or chooses to leave, no refund will be given.
- Cancellations made by City Market and AGKC due to severe weather conditions or other external limiting factors prior to event start will receive a 50% refund.
Product Limitations
- Products MUST be family friendly i.e. no nudity, drug related paraphernalia, etc. If an item in your inventory is questionable - leave it at home. You will be asked to take down any merchandise that does not fit within City Market’s guidelines.
- No unaltered trademarked, logo’d, or licensed images or products. Items utilizing such images must be altered in such a way that they are distinguishable from the original design.
Property Damage
- City Market, KC Commercial Realty Group, Planned Industrial Expansion Authority, City of KCMO, Art Garden Kansas City LLC and its employees, agents or officials are hereby released from any responsibility or liability for loss or damage of merchandise or property while it is being displayed/stored in this location.
Media and Advertising:
- Art Garden KC captures digital content during our public events which may be used in press releases, paid advertising, printed publicity, website and social media channels.
- By applying to our event, you consent to AGKC's use of this media for promotion and advertisement.
- Vendors are encourage to promote upcoming events using the provided graphics or using your own graphics/promotions, as well capture day-of event content and post on social media, tagging @artgardenkc & @citymarketkc. Event hashtags: #ArtonWalnut #CityMarketKC #ArtGardenKC

- Vendors must comply with all event rules and regulations. Please see the Rules & Regulations document attached to this application for more details, including load-in/load-out and parking instructions.
