LIVE PAINTER APPLICATION - PUBLIC ART CRAWL HUNTINGTON

EVENT NAME: PUBlic Art Crawl presented by the Huntington Chamber of Commerce

EVENT DATE: SATURDAY MAY 17TH  (RAIN DATE: MAY 31ST)

EVENT TIME: 12 - 5PM

LOCATION: HUNTINGTON VILLAGE

Exact location will be shared with the artist if the application is approved. Locations will be in different businesses throughout Huntington Village. 

APPLICATION DEADLINE: May 5th 2025 

This application is open to the following artistic disciplines: Live Artists (e.g., painters, sketch artists, live sculptors)

SCOPE OF WORK: We are seeking live artists to be part of the PUBlic Art Crawl in Huntington Village hosted by the Huntington Chamber of Commerce.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Artist must be able to be present at the event from 11:30AM - 5:00PM
• Artist must be able to supply their own canvas. Canvas size can vary from 16 x 20 to 24 x 24 in size. 
• Artist agrees to provide the finished artwork created during the live painting session (which can be a completed after the event) to the Huntington Chamber of Commerce, which will be auctioned at an upcoming Gala to further fund the growth of this live artist program.

STIPENDS FOR ARTISTS:

• Live Artist: $200
• Small space (approximately 4 x 6 feet) to set-up an art display. Artists are responsible for bringing their own display setup (e.g., small table, easel).

Please note that by submitting you agree that you're willing to be paid within the range of the above stipend.

How It Works:

• Browse and Select: Select from the available events listed above and submit your application to the event(s) you are interested in participating in.
• Review Details: Carefully review the application and full details of each event to ensure it aligns with your preferences, technical requirements, and compensation expectations.
• Notification and Onboarding: We will notify you if you are selected for the event opportunity. If selected, we will follow the proper procedures to onboard you and provide all necessary information.

Please note that Colored Colors does not receive any state or county funding for our programs. Support for artists comes from partner organizations, private funds, community and sponsor donations.

Colored Colors Talent Portal - Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms:

• By submitting an application to the Colored Colors Talent Portal, you ("Artist," "Applicant," or "You") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.
• Colored Colors ("We," "Us," or "Our") reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be posted on the Talent Portal, and it is your responsibility to review them periodically.

2. Application Process:

• Applications are free of charge.
• You warrant that all information provided in your application is accurate and complete.
• We reserve the right to reject any application for any reason.
• Submission of an application does not guarantee selection for any event.

3. Selection and Engagement:

• Selection of Artists is at the sole discretion of Colored Colors' curatorial team.
• If selected, you will be notified and provided with a detailed scope of work and compensation details.
• Engagement is contingent upon your acceptance of the provided terms.
• Colored Colors reserves the right to cancel or reschedule events.
• If selected, you agree to fulfill the obligations outlined in the event contract.

4. Compensation:

• Selected Artists will be compensated as agreed upon in the event contract.
• Payment terms will be specified in the event contract.
• Huntington Chamber of Commerce  is responsible for payment to the artist, according to the contract.

5. Intellectual Property:

• You retain ownership of your intellectual property.
• By submitting an application, you grant Colored Colors and Huntington Chamber of Commerce a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your submitted materials (images, videos, bios) for promotional purposes related to the Talent Portal and events.
• You grant Colored Colors and Huntington Chamber of Commerce the right to record and photograph your performance for promotional and archival purposes.
• If you perform copyrighted material that is not your own, you are responsible for obtaining the proper licensing.

6. Liability:

• You are responsible for your own safety and equipment during events.
• Colored Colors shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury arising from your participation in events, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
• You are responsible for having your own liability insurance if you deem it necessary.

7. Termination:

• Colored Colors may terminate your participation in the Talent Portal or any event for breach of these Terms and Conditions or for any other reason deemed appropriate.
• You may terminate your participation by providing written notice to Colored Colors.

8. Confidentiality:

• You agree to keep confidential any information provided by Colored Colors that is marked as confidential.

9. Data Privacy:

• Colored Colors will collect and use your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
• By submitting an application, you consent to the collection and use of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.
• We may share your information with partner organizations with your consent.

10. Governing Law:

• These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New York State.
