This is a family-friendly festival, and we only hire groups that present material that is in good taste and does not celebrate drugs, alcohol, sex, or other adult topics.
Performance applications open December 4, 2021 and the deadline is February 6, 2022.
Selections Process
Artists will be selected by a jury comprised of music and performing arts professionals. Jury selections will be based upon materials submitted with the application and on past performances. The jury will look for professionalism, originality, creativity, and suitability of materials for our family audiences.
Work Samples
All applicants are required to provide samples of their work. The work samples should reflect how you will look/sound at Summerfest, i.e., if you plan to perform solo at Summerfest, your work sample should be solo, not a highly produced recording with multiple musicians playing. To submit work samples:
1. submit URLs for online places (your own website, or others like ReverbNation, CDBaby, Facebook, etc.) where we can hear your music and view a video of a recent performance (preferred), or
2. upload mp3s to the application itself. At least one quality photo that can be used for publicity should be submitted with your application.
Deadline
Completed applications and supporting materials must be received by Summerfest Arts Faire no later than midnight on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Notification of jury decisions will be emailed by Saturday, March 26, 2022.
Contracts
Accepted performing artists are required to sign a contract with Summerfest Arts Faire specifying, among other things, payments, requirements, and liability. Contracts will be emailed by early April, and must be signed and returned with a technical rider no later than Monday, April 18, either via email or by mail. Links to performances of accepted performers, as well as photos may be used for archival, publicity, and website purposed before, during and after the event.
Technical Rider
Performers must supply us with a technical rider when submitting their signed contract which is due no later than April 18, 2022. This rider must outline all tech needs for the artists performance.
Fees
Summerfest pays all contracted performers. Please indicate desired fee on the application and indicate if it is negotiable. Note: Summerfest does not pay transportation or housing for local or regional artists.
Payments
All payments will be made onsite following the performance.
Information packets detailing all production and setup information will be sent to accepted artists in May. Questions regarding Summerfest Arts Faire may be directed to our offices, (324)213-3858, by mail to 69 East 100 North, Logan, UT 84321, or emailed to shirlene@logansummerfest.com
