About the application
Thank you for your interest in the Merriweather District Farmers Market. Those wishing to participate in the market must complete an application form. Space at the market and the items a vendor offers will be factors in determining approval. Fees will be collected once acceptance to markets has occurred.
***Note: This application is for vendors who opt to drop in, meaning they cannot commit to all market dates. If you can commit to vending on ALL market dates, please use the other Vendor application form.***

Merriweather District Farmers Market: Vendor Eligibility, Requirements, and Qualifications
Eligibility: Participation in the Merriweather District Farmers Market is exclusively for:
- Regional Farmers/Growers: Individuals or businesses who directly grow, raise, or produce the agricultural products they sell on their own farms within our region.
- Local Producers: Individuals or businesses who create value-added products featuring agricultural ingredients sourced from our region.
Specific Requirements and Qualifications:
- Producer-Only Market: Merriweather District Farmers Market is a producer-only market. Reselling agricultural products from other farms or producers is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate expulsion from the market.
- Business Structure: A farmer/grower/producer may operate as a sole proprietorship, partnership, or corporation. This includes family members and employees directly involved in the production and/or sales/marketing of the farm products. Cooperatives are not eligible to participate.
- Value-Added Producers: If you are not a farmer/grower, you may be considered eligible to sell at Merriweather District Farmers Market as a Producer in one of the following categories, provided you utilize local ingredients:
- Baker: Creates freshly baked goods from scratch, using seasonal ingredients from the region as much as possible.
- Cheese Maker: Produces cheese and other value-added dairy products using milk sourced from regional dairy farms.
- Pasta Maker: Crafts pasta and sauces from scratch, utilizing seasonal ingredients from the region or sourced from farmers/growers participating in the market.
- Soap/Personal Care Product Maker: Handcrafts soaps and/or other personal care products using seasonal ingredients from farmers participating in the market.
- Meat Processor: Primarily operates a food processing facility that processes meat raised by regional farms.
- Fisher/Seafood Producer: Raises or catches fresh fish and seafood, utilizing local processing facilities for products sold at the market.
- Specialty Producer: Other regional agricultural products not currently available at the market, subject to review and approval.
Application Review:
- Applications will be reviewed based on adherence to these guidelines, product quality, and market space availability.
- The market reserves the right to make final decisions on vendor participation
