Cattery Booths

A cattery booth is an incredible opportunity for CFA-registered catteries to shine and connect with cat enthusiasts at the CFA Cat Expo. Think of it as your cattery's showcase—your chance to have a dedicated space to present and sell your beautiful cats and kittens in the same way cat-product makers promote their goods.

To participate, cattery's must:

• Have a CFA registered cattery name
• Have been responsible for the individual registration of at least 10 cats/kittens under your cattery name in the past 2 years.
• Not be under suspension with CFA.
• Register all attending kittens/cat prior to the event and be prepared to show proof of registration.
• Supply own Sturdi shelters or similar type.
• Supply items needed including but not limited to: litter box, food bowls, water bowl, bed or blanket for cats, toys, anything to make cat comfortable. Cattery signs, breed signs, brochures, business cards, flyers, etc. (Litter will be supplied.)

Participation Rules

• Only CFA-recognized breeds are permitted to be in cattery booths.
• Only CFA- registered breeders are permitted to be in cattery booths.
• No kittens under 4 months are permitted to be in a cattery booth.
• Only a maximum of four kittens (under 8 months old) or two cats (8 months or older) are permitted in each double space measuring 24" D x 42" W x 24" H, as outlined in show rule 10.05. A double space is the size of a Sturdi (or other similar brand) double show shelter.
• Only cats which appear healthy, without evidence of fleas, ear mites, or any contagious or infectious illness, are eligible for presentation in a cattery booth.
• All cats or kittens be inoculated by a licensed veterinarian against feline panleukopenia, feline rhinotracheitis, calici viruses and rabies. It is also strongly recommended that cats and kittens be tested and found negative for FeLV.
• A minimum of one person 18 or older must be in booth at all times.
• Except when on display for the public, cats must be properly secured in table-top show shelters (provided by cattery.)
• Cats are NOT allowed to be stored on the floor or on a table in carriers in the booth
• If there is more than one breeder/cattery in a booth, both must apply separately.
• Cats may not remain in the cattery booth overnight.

By signing, you also understand that failure to adhere to these rules may result in immediate dismissal from the assigned cattery booth and no refunds will be issued.

The Cat Fanciers’ Association, Inc. (CFA) shall provide space for the  as outlined below. Catteries agrees to pay the stated total fees and to attend the show for the purpose of promoting his or her kittens and cats.  

• There will be no refunds or rollovers for cancellations made after September 1.
• Cancellations made during the month of August will be refunded 1/2 of the rental fee for booth space, tables, and equipment only.  Eventeny fees will not be refunded. 
• Cancellations made prior to August 1 will be refunded the total amount of the rental fee for booth space, tables, and other equipment paid, less $100. Eventeny fees will not be refunded. 
• Should CFA fail to hold the show as provided in this agreement, or to furnish to Vendor the space described in this agreement, it shall promptly refund to Vendor all sums paid under this agreement, and such refund shall be accepted by Vendor in full settlement of all loss or damage suffered by Vendor on account of such failure to hold the show.
• Cattery is responsible for the safeguarding of his or her kittens/cats from the time they are placed in his or her booth until they are removed by the cattery. CFA will not be responsible for, or guarantee to cattery, the safety of cats and exhibit material against fire, accident, theft, or any loss or injury whatsoever.
• Cattery shall assume all risks associated with cattery’s presence in the show hall and hereby releases CFA from any and all liability resulting therefrom. Cattery shall further indemnify and hold CFA harmless from and against any and all damages, liabilities and obligations arising from Vendor’s presence and activities in the show hall including, but not limited to, any attorneys’ fees and costs incurred by CFA in connection therewith.
• Cattery understands that by entering the premise of or participating in this event, it gives CFA and its affiliates, licensees, designees, or assignees the right to use its and its cat(s) likeness(es) derived from this event in perpetuity without additional compensation or consideration and that such likenesses may appear, at CFA’s sole discretion, in many forms of media including television, Internet, print, DVD home video, social, commercials, advertisements or other media either currently existing or developed in the future. Cattery further warrants that it can grant this right without obtaining permission from or making a payment to a third party and that it has done so willingly and without duress.

By by submitting this application, I’ve read the terms and conditions above and understand that this Agreement shall be legally binding upon CFA and the Vendor only upon acceptance of said application.  

This Agreement will executed electronically and an electronic submission shall be treated as an original.
