10 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day on the Municipal Center grounds
A maximum of 120 artists, 6 food trucks, 4 food vendors, 3 areas of entertainment, and 5-10,000 patrons attend.
IMPORTANT: MODIFICATIONS TO ART SHOW LAYOUT
Please note that the Art Show layout has been modified due to the Municipal Center construction project beginning in May 2025 and continuing through 2026. Food vendors from last year's 2024 layout have been moved to the parking lot east of the Prairie Center building. We appreciate your understanding and flexibility.
Also featuring artists, live entertainment, and children’s activities on the grounds of the Robert O. Atcher Municipal Center adjacent to the Al Larson Prairie Center for the Arts in Schaumburg.
ATTENDANCE
The Memorial Day weekend celebration historically draws 5-10,000 patrons with most festival attendees from Schaumburg and the surrounding communities. Our Memorial Day weekend celebration is rooted in strong support and patronage from residents of Schaumburg and the surrounding suburbs. We're delighted to also welcome attendees from across the greater Chicagoland area and beyond state lines, making the Prairie Arts Festival the destination to be for Memorial Day weekend.

About the event
Terms & Conditions
- Food & beverage sales to take place during both days of the festival for the entire duration of the event (most food items will not be duplicated). No glass is allowed on the festival grounds; beverages must be served in cans or plastic bottles. We have swans and cygnets on-site at this time each year. Thus, for their safety, we are not allowed to sell popcorn or kettle corn at our Prairie Arts Festival.
- Vendors must provide their own self-contained food truck, food cart or tent that includes heating, cooling & serving equipment, and any necessary tables & chairs. Limited electricity is available. Any tent canopies used shall be securely weighted at each corner to withstand rainy or windy conditions. A 40 # minimum weight (unless the tent manufacturer’s specifications state otherwise) shall be secured to EACH tent leg.
- Vendors must provide a certificate of insurance in an amount not less than $1,000,000/occurrence, $2,000,000/policy limit listing the Village of Schaumburg as “additional insured” for General Liability. The Village of Schaumburg must be listed as the certificate holder with the correct address of 101 Schaumburg Ct., Schaumburg, IL 60193. Your insurance agent needs to include written proof of endorsement that includes the general liability policy number the endorsement corresponds to along with the certificate. This is a separate document from the certificate (language on the Acord 25 form used by insurance agents makes this necessary).
- Vendors need to provide a copy of their commissary report.
- All food services must meet Village of Schaumburg health codes. It is the responsibility of each accepted food truck vendor to contact Tom Wisniewski, Health Inspector in the Community Development Department at the Village of Schaumburg, 101 Schaumburg Ct., Schaumburg, IL 60193, at twisniewski@schaumburg.com and 847-923-3709 or Sharrita Vantrece, svantrece@schaumburg.com and 847-923-3823.
- The Village of Schaumburg is not responsible for lost or damaged merchandise or equipment.
- A minimum 4A-60BC fire extinguisher must be provided by vendors who are cooking with grills or other appliances. In addition, a Class K fire extinguisher must be provided by vendors using deep fryers. Food trucks provided with a kitchen suppression system must have a current inspection tag for the system. All LPG tanks must be secured and located away from the cooking appliances. Any electrical cords exposed to the elements must be rated appropriately.
ENTRY FEE
$275 entry fee for a food truck, $175 fee for a 10’ x 10’ food vendor space (food cart or tent). Payment due upon acceptance. Your space will not be reserved without payment. All payments are deemed final, and no refunds will be issued with the exception of the complete and total cancellation of the event.

- List size of food truck, food cart or tent.
- Attach a complete list of food and beverage items to be sold and cost for each item (vendors must post their menu that includes pricing so please keep prices reasonable)
- Limited electricity is available so self-contained food trucks and carts are preferred; quiet generators are ok to use. If electricity is required, please list what is needed and what it is for. Include # of units and at least two of the following ratings: amps, volts & watts used for each item. All equipment must operate on 110 volts, 220 volt equipment is not available.
