About the application
Welcome to the Bel Air Festival for the Arts Exhibitor Application! Browse through our applications and let us know if you have any questions. This is an electronic agreement and by applying, you are validating and approving this agreement electronically.
Categories: Artists may apply in up to 3 categories. Only the painting, other media and photography categories are judged for show awards.
- Painting: Oil/Acrylic - Original work only, reproduction prints are not considered for this category (Judged Category)
- Painting: Watercolor - Original work only, reproduction prints are not considered for this category. (Judged Category)
- Other Media: Work which combines materials from two or more mediums in one piece. Must include painting and/or photography as one of the mediums (Judged Category)
- Photography: Includes traditional film photography, hand-colored images, emulsion transfers, and digital photography. Only artist’s original source material is acceptable. (Judged Category)
- Clay: Original clay and porcelain work, functional or sculptural.
- Fiber: Includes wearable and non-wearable. No machine-tooled, machine-screen printing, or other forms of mass production are accepted.
- Glass: Functional and sculptural work is accepted. Kiln forming, blowing, molding, or casting, as well as all cold working processes are permitted.
- Jewelry: Only those artists accepted in the jewelry category may display or sell jewelry. Items made from commercial parts may not be exhibited.If you sell jewelry, you may apply in a category other than Jewelry if jewelry is less than 10% of your items for sale. Otherwise, you must also apply in Jewelry.
- Metal: Sculptural or decorative work made from metal. No jewelry will be accepted in this category.
- Musical Instruments: Handmade instruments.
- Natural Materials: This includes basket weaving, chair caning, brooms, gourds, and other works made from materials found in nature.
- Printmaking: Only hand-pulled original prints are allowed. Prints must be in limited editions, signed, and numbered.
- Sculpture: Three-dimensional work using additive or subtractive processes in a single medium.
- Wood: Original works that are hand tooled, machine-worked, turned or carved.
- Literature: Original illustrated and non-illustrated published works by the author. This is a new category for the Bel Air Festival of the Arts.
- Food: Handcrafted, packaged food items approved for sale to the public. Only a limited number of exhibitors will be accepted.
About the event
Terms & Conditions
ELIGIBILITY
- The Bel Air Festival for the Arts is a non-exclusive festival, eligible exhibitors from multiple categories are accepted.
- All items exhibited must be hand made by the person(s) signing the application and that person must be in attendance the day of the festival.
- NO commercially produced items will be accepted.Buy/Sell” items – goods purchased by the crafter and then sold under his/her name are STRICTLY PROHIBITED in this show. The festival committee reserves the right to pass judgment in regard to both of the above rules of eligibility not only when reviewing applications, but also on the day of the show. Those found not to be in compliance will be asked to leave.
- All craft items for sale at the festival must be completed craft products. No unassembled products will be allowed. This includes unfinished wood items, bunches of dried/fresh flowers and kits.
LIMITED REFUND POLICY - As a BARC-sponsored event, the Bel Air Festival for the Arts and all of its participants are required to abide by the BARC Limited Refund Policy which is provided in the documents section.
CODE OF CONDUCT - As a BARC-sponsored event, the Bel Air Festival for the Arts and all of its participants are required to abide by the BARC Code of Conduct which is provided in the documents section. Exhibitors who fail to adhere to this Code of Conduct will be asked to leave the festival venue and prohibited from participating in future Bel Air Festival for the Arts.
LIABILITY RELEASE - As a BARC-sponsored event, the Bel Air Festival for the Arts and all of its participants are required to abide by the BARC Liability Release which is provided in the documents section.
