Performances - Southport Concert Series

The City of Southport, in collaboration with Downtown Southport, Inc, Up Your Arts, and Cape Fear Radio, is excited to announce the return of the Southport Concert Series for the 2025 season. This year’s series promises an outstanding lineup of musical performances, bringing the community together in the beautiful setting of Franklin Square Park.

The 2025 series runs Thursday evenings from 6 P to 8 P, weather permitting. The concerts are free and open to the public, welcoming attendees of all ages. Guests are encouraged to bring picnic blankets, chairs, and dancing shoes.

While the lineup of performers is yet to be announced, interested artists are urged to apply promptly to secure their spot on the stage. The Southport Concert Series provides a platform for emerging and established talents to showcase their artistry.

Note: Your application will not be considered if you performed in the 2024 Concert Series. You may be regarded if you were selected but your performance was rained out with no makeup date available.

1. Event – Southport Concert Series
2. Location – Franklin Square Park Stage, 130 E West St, Southport, NC 28461
3. Date and time – Date to be determined based on application, 6pm-8pm
4. Consideration – City of Southport will provide payment by check in the amount of $575.00, made payable to the Performer or Presenter upon completion of the specified performance and submission of a completed and signed form W-9. 

5. Insurance – City of Southport shall maintain comprehensive insurance coverage with liability and medical limits of $1,000,000 per claim and $2,000, 000 general aggregate.

6. Expenses – The Performer or Presenter agrees that consideration is inclusive of accommodations, travel, and meals. 

7. Equipment – The Performer or Presenter is asked to bring/provide appropriate audio equipment sufficient for the performance. No vehicles will be allowed in the park for any reason, all equipment must be hand trucked or carried in. 

8. Cancellation – In the case of rain the performance may be cancelled. A decision will be made by 1 p.m. the day of the performance. Rain dates have been selected in case of adverse weather. In the event of cancellation by event organizers, there is no obligation for performance or payment.
