Wine Competition

ELIGIBILITY

The competition is open to all wineries exhibiting in the First Taste Oregon Festival (January 24 & 25, 2025)

FEES

Fee is $25 per entry. Fees paid by card or check and made out to: First Taste Oregon.

ENTRIES

Each winery exhibiting may enter. An official entry must consist of two bottles 750 ML; (375 ML acceptable for dessert wine entries) per varietal and the following production details for each entry:

1. Winery
2. Label (if different from winery name)
3. Varietal
4. Vintage
5. Vineyard (if single-vineyard designate)
6. AVA
7. Cases produced (At least one case will be available for the public to taste at the festival)
8. Residual Sugar (percentage) (if applicable)
9. Statement attesting that the wine entered is representative of the wine marketed under the same label and conforms to state and federal regulations and standards.

Note: All entries assume agreement of award forfeiture in the event of non-compliance. All wines submitted become property of the First Taste Oregon Festival.

• Syrah Pinot Blanc Ciders Fruit/Berry

• Other Whites, and Meads

DEADLINES

Entry forms must be received by January 10, 2025 - Wine must be received by NOON on January 13, 2025. 

YOU MUST SEND 2 BOTTLES FOR EACH ENTRY.

JUDGING PANEL 

Wine tasting competition will be conducted by First Taste Oregon staff members, featuring a panel of select guest judges from the Oregon wine industry. The judges were chosen based on their experience as wine educators, wine makers, wine merchants, wine writers and / or previous wine judging experience.
