Terms & Conditions
- Artwork must be created in 2022-2024.
- Work must be original and created by you. No reproductions or prints except for fine art, hand-pulled prints.
- All work submitted must be available for the duration of the exhibition and available for sale. No NFS.
- Artwork must relate to the theme "A Sense of Place."
- Artist must have a primary residence in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming.
- An artist statement of 200 words or less is required for label purposes. Please submit an artist's statement of 200 words or less that explains your interpretation of "A Sense of Place" and/or your artistic process.
- A brief bio or curriculum vitae can be submitted as well (optional).
- Artists may submit 1-3 images of work for the entry fee of $25. The entry fee is non-refundable.
- Images submitted should be a minimum of 1800 pixels in the longest direction at 72 dpi.
- Submissions will be juried on July 18-19.
- Notifications will be emailed on July 20.
- Artists selected for the show will be asked to subimt hi-res images (300 dpi, minimum 5" on the long side) for marketing purposes.
- All work must be ready to hang with wires or d-rings, or freestanding.
- Any work that requires specialized installation, please indicate this along with basic instructions in the correct field when you apply.
- Work must be CLEARLY LABELED with artist name, title, medium, size, price, and artists' contact information.
- Work will be accepted July 8-11 at the Art Association of Jackson Hole Gallery, 240 N. Glenwood St, Jackson WY 83001. Artists may drop off work from 10 AM - 5:30 PM each day during that period.
- Shipping of work for out of town artists:
- Anyone shipping work must schedule their shipment to arrive July 8-11.
- Artwork should be shipped using reusable packaging. NO PEANUTS.
- A prepaid return shipping label MUST be included in your packaging for return of unsold artwork.
- Work should be sent via UPS or FedEx (NO USPS, PLEASE) to Art Association JH, Attn J Hoffman, 240 N Glenwood St, Jackson, WY 83001.
- Ground shipments are fine, but please do not select the "Economy" option. Economy service uses the US Postal Service to complete the delivery. Jackson Hole does not have physical mail delivery, only PO Boxes, and your shipment will be returned.
- Please write "A Sense of Place" on your shipping box.
- 40% of the sale price will be retained by the Art Association of Jackson Hole as a commission.
- Credit card fees will be split 50/50 between the Artist and the Art Association.
- Please price your work accordingly.
- Checks for sold work will be cut within 2 weeks of the conclusion of the exhibit and mailed to artists.
- In person pickup of unsold work will take place from August 19-21, from 10 AM - 5:30 PM in the Art Association Gallery.
- Return shipping of work to out-of-town artists will take place within 2 weeks of the close of the show.
