Participants are required to act in a professional manner, or they may be dismissed from the parade without a refund. Any entry suspected of alcohol or drug usage during the parade staging or parade route will be dismissed from the parade without a refund.
Participants MAY NOT throw anything from their float, entice spectators to approach the float, or cause in any manner spectators to enter or cross the parade route.
Distribution of “goodies” (candy, gifts, and flyers) is strictly prohibited on the parade route.
Participants must agree that in the event your group cannot participate in the parade after the entry fee has already been paid, the entry fee is NON-REFUNDABLE AND NON-TRANSFERABLE.
All parade entries must continue moving forward at all times during the parade route. To prevent delays, stationary performances will not be allowed.
The parade Coordinator will make all line-up, arrangement and procession decisions.
All entries having music or sound amplifying systems shall maintain a volume that will not interfere with other entries, especially those with animals. If a unit is informed by the parade coordinator that the noise generated by their unit is too loud; they shall immediately turn the volume down.
All unit signage (including banners, vehicle decals, trailers, etc.) must match the organization name on the application. Outside sponsor recognition is not permitted without prior authorization from Pearland Parks & Recreation.
Fire Extinguishers.  All floats and any vehicle or trailer with a generator must carry a fire extinguisher with a current certification.  Vehicles will be inspected. Cars or trucks that do not have generators or not pulling floats (trailers) are exempt.  You will NOT be able to purchase fire extinguishers at staging so please make sure your float or trailer has an extinguisher or you will not be permitted to participate in the parade. Float vehicles must be properly registered and insured.
Floats must have a minimum of 12 inches ground clearance from the frame. Nothing can drag on the roadway from the float. Proper clearance of materials from around the wheels of the vehicles must be incorporated to avoid any materials being caught in them.

All entries are restricted from having a live “Santa Claus.” We have arranged to have one Santa Claus at the parade and having more than one live Santa can confuse kids.
