About the event

Mark your calendars for the 23rd annual Bloombox Festival, a day-long outdoor festival featuring independent local musicians and visual artists in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. This annual event honors local musicians and artists who perform original live music and create original work. It provides a unique opportunity for interaction with other local artists and the community. Bloombox 2024 is a FREE festival that takes place on Saturday, June 15th, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Bands are featured on two stages in the exterior courtyard of the Harrison Center. 100+ artists, crafters and makers selling their handmade goods will be located both inside the venue and outside on the streets surrounding the venue. Food trucks, local breweries, and other community organizations will also be involved. Check the Bloombox Facebook page for the latest updates. *Bloombox Festival was formerly known as the Independent Music + Art Festival (IMAF), in conjunction with the INDIEana Handicraft Exchange (IHE). In an effort to better serve our patrons and artist participants, as well as to strengthen the bond between the two event entities, we have finally rebranded under one name after many years.

Bloombox 2024 is a FREE festival that takes place on Saturday, June 15th, from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Bands are featured on two stages in the exterior courtyard of the Harrison Center. 100+ artists, crafters and makers selling their handmade goods will be located both inside the venue and outside on the streets surrounding the venue. Bloombox Festival was formerly known as the Independent Music + Art Festival (IMAF), in conjunction with the INDIEana Handicraft Exchange (IHE). In an effort to better serve our patrons and artist participants, as well as to strengthen the bond between the two event entities, we have finally rebranded under one name after many, many years.

This is the application to apply to be considered as a potential artist/crafter/maker vendor for the event. We accept individuals who create and sell their own work, not those who sell for a third party. 

This is NOT the application to apply to be considered as a food truck vendor or a music act. For inquiries regarding those available spaces, please email Nikki at bloombox@harrisoncenter.org.

Terms & Conditions

Vendor applications for artists/crafters/makers will go live on Friday, April 5. Applications will remain open until 11:59pm on Thursday, May 30.

This is a juried event. We accept all submissions until the due date and then make selections based on the number of applicants in any one category, the quality of the work, the presentation of an event booth space and whether or not the work submitted fits the style and personality of our event. 

All applicants will be notified by Monday, May 6 as to their status for the event. 

Once notified of acceptance, all booth fee payments must be submitted within a week's time to secure your participation in the event. All booth fee payments must be received by Monday, May 13. 

Once payments have been made, a refund minus a $25 processing fee, can be made until Friday, May 31, should you need to cancel. After, May 31, refunds will no longer be issued for any reason.

The event will take place rain or shine. The event will only be cancelled in case of extreme weather conditions; lightning, high winds, tornado warnings, etc. There are no refunds should the event be cancelled due to inclement weather.

1qty. 6' Table & 2qty. Chairs $15 Non-refundable If you need to rent a table for your booth at the Bloombox Festival, you may select from 6' and 8' options. You will get two chairs with any table rental. Please keep in mind that the indoor and outdoor spaces are different sizes. Indoor spaces measure 9' wide x 6' deep and outdoor spaces measure 10' x 10' square.

Picture requirements

  • Minimum pictures required: 6
  • Upload 1 - Your logo file. Upload 2 - A picture of your booth setup for events. Uploads 3-12 - Images of your products. These may be pictures of a complete collection of goods together, individual items, tight detail shots showing the quality and craftsmanship of your work, or in-process shots of your work being created. The logo file and booth setup image are required. For product images, you must submit at least 4 images but may include up to 10 images.
