About the event

The inaugural Art in the Arena Frisco is the first of its kind indoor fine art festival in North Texas located in Frisco, Texas, just 20 miles from the Dallas – Fort Worth International Airport, where artists exhibit their work inside the Comerica Center Sports Arena (home of the NHL Dallas Stars / Frisco Fighters Football / Texas Legends Basketball). On August 16- VIP *Night in the Arena with $50 VAGF donation. On August 17 & 18, Patrons will enjoy free entry and complimentary covered parking (space permiting), live music provided by Melody of Hope on the main stage throughout the entire event, and up to 60 emerging and professional artists to engage with to create an event you don't want to miss! Sponsored in part by the Dallas Stars and made possible in part by a grant from the Frisco Arts Foundation, the Art in the Arena Frisco 2024 Festival is a showcase of a large variety of fine art from local artists but is open to all levels and regions of visual artists (no craft art booths are accepted at this time) and provides our patrons with the opportunity to meet and talk with the artist who created the work. Kick off this exciting weekend with an Exclusive, Limited Entry VIP Night in the Arena: 'First Look Friday' August 16th from 6pm-9pm. For a $50 donation to VAGF, enjoy chef's table, drink coupon, cash bar, and live music on the main stage as well as first look and shop of the art booths and a featured art wall with a juried art awards reception that jump starts this perfect August weekend in the air-conditioned arena!

Optional: Submission Fee for Juried Art Gallery Wall $15 Non-refundable • VAGF Pop-up Art Gallery Wall Restrictions for Art Submission $15: Please upload at least one photo of your artwork to be exhibited and up to three for VAGF Pop-up Art Gallery Wall review. Due to space limitations (on this Gallery Wall only), art pieces cannot exceed 24 inches in width and 24 inches in height (including the frame). • All artwork should be ready-to-hang with wire taut at the upper fourth of the frame. Saw hook hanging will not be accepted. All works on 1/2” - 1" canvases should be framed. All the works on 1 1/2" to 2” canvases need to have neatly painted edges if not framed. VAGF will retain a 20% commission only on sales of artwork juried into the VAGF Pop-up Art Gallery Wall. All artwork must be for sale at no less than $100.
Optional Add-on: Outlet - Electricity SOLD OUT Non-refundable First come, first serve. Once we receive your booth payment and request for this add-on, we will inform you if outlet is assigned to your booth. Also, you must provide your own extension cords and power strip.
Optional Add-on: Table $20 Non-refundable First come, first serve - you may rent up to two tables for $20 each for the weekend. One booth fee is paid, we will let you know tables were assigned to your booth and fee will be charged upon approval
