Terms & Conditions

WHEREAS, La Creme Event Association, Inc. d/b/a SSNS Festival Association (“S.S.N.S”) will conduct the Southern Smoke N Sip - San Antonio from Friday, May 24, 2024 to Saturday, May 25, 2024 (the “Event”):
WHEREAS, the undersigned desires to participate in the Event;
WHEREAS, the undersigned’s participation in the Event is governed by the Event “Team Information, pricing, terms and Rules” posted to S.S.N.S’s website at ssnsfestival.com/bbq-competition-rules, and which have been made available to the undersigned (the “Team Information and Rules' ').

1. In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Event, or attend one or more other events, contests, exhibitions, performances, or activities sponsored, presented, or conducted by S.S.N.S., whether on the grounds of the Helotes Festival Grounds, at S.S.N.S.’s event property located at “12210 Leslie Road, Helotes, TX 78023” , or elsewhere (each, a “S.S.N.S. Event”), and for other valuable consideration, receipt of which is acknowledged, the undersigned agrees to the terms and conditions of this Indemnification and Release Agreement.
2. The undersigned acknowledges that he/she has received a copy of the La Creme Event Association & Southern Smoke N Sip Festival Team Information and Rules, or has accessed the same at the internet address provided above; has read and understands the Team Information and Rules; and agrees to comply with all participant requirements set forth in the Team Information and Rules.
3. The undersigned acknowledges that there is inherent risk in participating in the Event (whether as a team leader, team member, cook, chef, server, helper, volunteer, or otherwise), and such participation may expose the undersigned to risks of personal injury, death, and property damage. The undersigned assumes and accepts all hazards and risks of personal injury, death, property damage, theft or loss of property, and slick or uneven surfaces arising out of or relating to his/her participation in, or attendance at the Event, or any other S.S.N.S. Event, whether or not caused by any of the Released Parties (defined below).
4. THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY INDEMNIFIES, RELEASES AND HOLDS HARMLESS, AND AGREES TO DEFEND, S.S.N.S., THE HELOTES FESTIVAL GROUNDS, LA CREME EVENT ASSOCIATION,, BEXAR COUNTY, TEXAS, THE OWNERS AND OPERATORS OF ANY VENUE FOR A SSNS. EVENT AND EACH OF THEIR RESPECTIVE DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, MANAGERS, PARTNERS (GENERAL AND LIMITED), EMPLOYEES, OWNERS, INVITEES, AGENTS, SUCCESSORS AND ASSIGNS (COLLECTIVELY, THE “RELEASED PARTIES”) FROM AND AGAINST ANY AND ALL OBLIGATIONS, CLAIMS, DEMANDS, ACTIONS, REMEDIES, CAUSES OF ACTION, PROCEEDINGS, FINES, PENALTIES, LOSSES, LIABILITIES, DAMAGES, COSTS, AND EXPENSES (INCLUDING REASONABLE ATTORNEYS’ FEES) (COLLECTIVELY, “LOSS”), ASSERTED AGAINST OR INCURRED BY THE RELEASED PARTIES, OR ANY OF THEM, BASED ON ARISING OUT OF, OR RELATING TO, (A) THE UNDERSIGNED’S FAILURE TO STRICTLY COMPLY WITH THE TEAM INFORMATION AND RULES FOR THE EVENT; OR (B) THE UNDERSIGNED’S PARTICIPATION IN OR ATTENDANCE AT THE EVENT OR ANY OTHER S.A.L.E. EVENT, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY LOSS IN WHOLE OR PART IN CAUSED BY THE NEGLIGENCE OF S.A.L.E. OR ANY OTHER RELEASED PARTIES. THE UNDERSIGNED HEREBY ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT THE FOREGOING INDEMNITY AND RELEASE PROVISIONS INCLUDE INDEMNIFICATION AND RELEASE BY THE UNDERSIGNED FROM AND AGAINST THE RELEASED PARTIES’ OWN NEGLIGENCE.

5. This Indemnification and Release Agreement is intended to have the broadest possible legal effect and to release and indemnify the Released Parties against all Loss of every sort, known or unknown, foreseeable or unforeseeable, future or contingent, and whether sounding in tort, contract or otherwise, or arising under any statute or regulation, including but not limited to all Loss based on, arising out of, or relating to any personal injury, death, or property loss, theft, or damage.
6. The undersigned COVENANTS NOT TO SUE any of the Released Parties for or based on any claim or other matter that is released in this Indemnification and Release Agreement, and agrees not to bring, prosecute or participate in the prosecution of any suit or action based on or for any such claim or other matter.
7. This Indemnification and Release Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas. Venue for any cause of action between the undersigned and S.S.N.S. or any Released Party shall lie solely and exclusively in Bexar County, Texas. This Indemnification and Release Agreement is binding upon the undersigned and his/her heirs, executors, administrators and legal representatives.
8. The undersigned agrees that he/she may be depicted in photographs or video recordings of any S.S.N.S. Event, consents to the use of such depictions in advertising, news reporting, public relations, and other public displays, and releases and waives all claims for compensation and any rights of review and approval, copyright, and right of publicity with respect thereto.
9. If the event is canceled for weather or unforeseen circumstances all competitors will receive a full refunded of competition fee's. These competitors will have the choice to apply there fees to the postponed date or back out totally. This refund will not include the application fee of $25 plus taxes....

Silver Row $250 Non-refundable - Pick Up Truck & BBQ Pit Space - 15×20 Space Placement Size - You can have your Pick Up Truck inside the grounds in your location in the SSNS Festival - One (1) Free Parking Space
Gold Row $300 Non-refundable - Small RV/ Pick Up Truck, BBQ Pit, & Small Tent Space - 15×30 Space Placement - You can have your Small RV or Pick Up Truck inside the grounds in your placement spot. - One (1) Free Parking Space

City Food Permit $75 Non-refundable We will secure you city food permit… Otherwise competitor will have to secure the city food permit from the City of Helotes… FYI: Early Registration has ended so FREE Premit advertising is officially over. So every competitor must pay for city permit using these two options which is “Event Organizer Getting Permit or Competitor getting the permit directly from the city of Helotes…
Electrical Outlet for 2 days $75 Non-refundable This gives competitior access to electric for two (2) days.
Extra Parking Space $10 Non-refundable Outside of the one parking space granted to competitors at sign up. If more parking is need for Team Members, Friends, or Family.
