Welcome to the July Independence event!

Food vendors must have a current fire inspection from Barrow County or have submitted their application to be inspected . This free certificate is good all year for the County. Our city does not require you to have a separate permit. 

Look over our application and let us know if you have any questions. This is an electronic agreement and by selecting the booths, you are validating and approving this agreement electronically.

Terms & Conditions

 
In consideration of vendor's participation in and selling at City sanctioned/sponsored event, vendor agrees to the
following Rules and Regulations.
PLEASE NOTE: These are generic rules for everyone and special rules for some circumstances. Please read through them all. 
1. Vendor’s application must be approved by the City and all application fees shall be paid prior to the date of 
the event.
2. All spaces are assigned on a first come first served basis. Once assigned, vendor spaces will not be moved
or reassigned including on the day of the event. Space is limited. Due to high demand, vendors may not be 
approved for all dates. Please check your approval letter for approved dates.
3. Vendors shall set up at the designated time on the day of the event.  Parking for vendors shall be restricted 
only   to  areas   designated   in   advance   by   the  Statham   Event   Committee.    Vendors  may   be   required   to
transport   supplies,   goods,   equipment,   and   other   materials   to   their   designated   spots.     If   unloading   is
permitted at the vendor’s space, vendor should unload any supplies and equipment, and move their vehicle
out of the area as soon as possible to reduce congestion and traffic problems.
4. Vendors can bring their own tables, but they need to have a table covering.   Vendors are responsible for
their own set up. Any tents, tent weights, tables, chairs, extension cords, etc., must be brought by the 
vendor. (i.e. tent with weights, table, extension cord, levels, etc.). Tents cannot exceed the size paid for and
all set up must be contained within their tent. Side angled tents are prohibited. We will not have staff 
available to assist with your setup.
5. Vendors will not be allowed to break down and leave before the market closes.  Vendors are required to 
clean around their space after the festival is done. The City will provide trash containers.
6. Vendors are not allowed to leave their booths unattended during an event. You may only be 3 feet from
your booth at any given time. Vendors are not allowed to "walk" the event to pass out marketing materials.
You may give out materials if guests approach your booth.
7. Late Arrivals: Vendors will not be allowed into the event and will forfeit their vendor payment for the event
for the following infractions:
a. One late arrival of more than 30 minutes
b. Two late arrivals of more than 15 minutes
Vendors will be removed from the lineup for the remainder of the season for the following infractions:
a. Two cancellations with less than 72-hour notice
b. One event no-show
c. One incident of leaving before the event has ended.
8. Any and all refunds of vendor’s application fee shall be made in the sole and absolute discretion of the City
of Statham Event Committee.
 9. If the weather becomes unsafe, event staff will make the call to cancel or reschedule on the day of the
event. You will be contacted by a city event staff member if there are changes or cancellations. All vendors
affected by a "rain date" will be offered an alternate date (based on availability) or their money back.
10. If applicable, all vendors will be notified by an event attendant when it is safe to drive in the event area.
Driving in the event area before the road is cleared by an event attendant is prohibited and the vendor will
face possible exclusion from all future events. This is a safety hazard that we expect all our vendors to
abide by.
11. All vendors must show respect to the community (our customers) and the event staff. As a vendor, you are
now the image of Statham, and bad behavior, violence, harassment, discrimination, rude or disrespectful
behavior is grounds for immediate removal from the event, loss of vendor payment, and a police escort if
deemed necessary.
12. Vendors are not allowed to take any sales after event end time.
13. Vendors will conduct sales of products or goods directly with the event consumers and shall be entitled to
retain 100% of the proceeds from these transactions. Vendors must furnish their own cash bank and credit
card processing. Vendors are not permitted to sell any alcoholic beverages unless they have been approved
as an alcohol vendor.
14. Vendors intending to sell prepared and packaged foodstuffs for resale must provide a copy of their current
Georgia Department of Agriculture Food Sales Establishment License. These vendors must attest to the fact
that they grow or buy from local growers at least one major ingredient in their product. Baked goods are
exempted from this regulation, the Cottage Food License is accepted. Vendors who wish to sell eggs and/or
dairy must provide a copy of their current Georgia Department of Agriculture certification.
15. All vendors shall comply with the sanitary rules and regulations of the County and State Health
Departments. All food must be properly displayed, fresh and grown and/or prepared in accordance with all
local, state, and federal regulations.
16. Each vendor will operate as an individual entity and, as such, each vendor is responsible for setting his/her
own prices. Weights and measures are expected to be in accordance with all applicable local, state, and
federal rules and regulations. All scales shall be approved by the Georgia Department of Agriculture and
have current inspection stickers
17. Power is very limited on-site. Power requests must be submitted on the application. Vendors must furnish
their own extension cords.
18. The City cannot guarantee the exclusivity of merchandise, products, services, or offerings. The City will
make every effort to avoid an overabundance of the same type of vendor offerings.
19. Vendors shall not use, possess or sell any item(s) that the City determines are harmful to health, safety, or
wellbeing of any person. Prohibited items include, but are not limited to, alcohol, tobacco, knives, all
contraband, pyrotechnical items, firearms, and any items that realistically resemble firearms. If a vendor is
observed selling product(s) that were not approved on the vendor application or by event staff, the vendor
will be asked to stop selling immediately and will be considered in violation of the vendor agreement and
face possible removal from the event.
  20. Food Vendors
a. All food trucks, trailers or operations must have an operational fire extinguisher on site.
b. Food  Trucks   must   provide   quiet/inverter   generator.   If   generators   are   deemed   to   be   too   loud,
vendor will not be allowed to participate.
c. Vendors must be prepared to cook and serve food at different grades of road elevation.
d. All food vendors must have a current health inspection from your county and the score must be 
displayed during the event.
e. Vendors must set up so as to leave up to three feet of space in front their location.  If additional
space is needed, please indicate what is needed to allow City officials time to make the necessary
arrangements.
21. Entertainment Vendors
a. The entertainer(s) hired must bring any sound equipment needed to perform. The City will NOT 
provide any equipment.  Entertainer(s) MUST be present and ready to perform at the event start
time.  All entertainer(s) must be dressed appropriately, offer family friendly content.  Checks will
be   mailed   out   to   the   entertainer(s)   following   the   performance.     If   a   break   is   taken,   the 
entertainer(s) MUST play background music during this time. 

Prices

Food Trucks up to 24 feet long $0 Non-refundable Electrical is provided free of charge with approved application if needed. If generator powered, it must be a quiet type.
Food Trailers up to 20 feet in length $0 Non-refundable Electrical access is provided within the application fee.
Food/Beverage Cart $0 Non-refundable Free electrical access with approved application.
