BACK FOR IT'S 2ND YEAR - Art Garden KC's Berkley Riverfront Fest is quickly becoming Kansas City’s most anticipated weekly hub for entertainment and community connection! This free event, drives festival lovers from all over the Midwest to gather, each Sunday, along the green spaces and river views of Berkley Riverfront Park! Each Sunday is filled with local art, food, music and creative activities. FEATURES: -Over 60 vendors featuring unique, handmade jewelry, décor, ceramics, clothing, art and more! - Open Mic Jams and live music - Food Trucks for all the munchies - Wellness Garden featuring rotating classes each week (breathwork, yoga, tai chi, astrology, sound bowls, meditation) - Henna, tarot, face-painting and caricature services - Yard Games - Live Art - and so much more! Our events foster community, drive cultural tourism and provides local creatives a space to grow without risk. Shop handcrafted local works from KC makers in the gorgeous, Berkley Riverfront Park! Major thank you to our wonderful friends and sponsor, Port KC ❤ **NOTE TO VENDORS** Artist & Maker applications open weekly on Mondays. Artist & Maker Info: This is a “Roll Call” style event open to new and experienced vendors! The application for this event will open every Monday, the first 60 vendors to respond will be reserved a space. We do not curate this event - all handmade artists & makers within a 50mi radius of KC are welcome to join, regardless of experience or skill-level! It’s a hippie-fest by the river - have fun, be kind and make friends ✌

Nestled between the new KC Current stadium, Origin Hotel and the upcoming 2 Birds 1 Stone beer garden, our little hippie festival by the river is quickly growing with over 1500 visitors every Sunday!
 
Why is this event important to the KC community? Art Garden KC's Berkley Riverfront Festival functions as a low risk/low barrier entrepreneurial "test kitchen", supporting over 60 diverse artists, makers, and innovators EVERY Sunday...many from minority communities and low-income ZIP codes. Our booth fees for artists at Berkley are just $10 - ensuring that all creatives, no matter their financial situation, can participate! For new and emerging artists, we even provide FREE canopies and equipment to those in need. Putting yourself out there and sharing your talents can be scary, therefore we make every effort to encourage a supportive, non-competitive environment. At Berkley, creative entrepreneurs can expand their business budget, gain sales/marketing experience, develop their product display and eventually graduate to our curated markets in higher-traffic venues! 
Throughout the season, we also partner with fellow organizations to host entrepreneurial education classes for youth and small businesses. Beyond vendor impact, Berkley Riverfront Festival also provides a consistent space for KC families and individuals to play, create, heal and escape the craziness of everyday life together ♥
 
In 2023, Art Garden KC provided a $1.4 Million economic impact to the creative small business community and $10,700 in support to local musicians! All of this made possible by our sponsors like Port KC, Illicit Gardens, From The Earth and organizations like YOU!

When: Sundays, April 21st - October 27th (weather permitting) *May 12th & June 9th TBD
Where: Berkley Riverfront Park
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Booth Fee: 10 x 10 space
  • Commercial Rate: $250 per event date + 3% processing fee
  • Non-Profit Rate: $150 per event date + 3% processing fee
No application fee to apply!
 
    • COMMERCIAL VENDOR: A business/organization that does not fall within our "handmade artist/maker guidelines" and intends to set up to advertise, disseminate information, and/or sell a product, device, or service. We encourage vendors to provide an interactive activity or merch giveaways at their booth. 
    • NON-PROFIT VENDOR: A non-profit booth is defined as any organization with a 501(c)(3) designation. A copy of your tax-exempt status must be submitted with your application.
    • Vendors must provide their own 10x10 canopy, 20-30lb weights per leg, chairs, tables, tablecloths, and displays. 
    • Commercial/Non-Profit vendors will be given notice once approved for all or some of the dates requested. If spaces are full, you may be added to our waitlist and contacted once a space is available.
    • If approved, your account will be charged (in full) on the 1st of the month for ALL approved dates in that month, unless you request to pay in full for ALL approved dates this season or make a different payment arrangement.
    • Booth locations will be assigned on the event map. Your map location will be viewable 1 week prior to the event date. Art Garden reserves the right to make changes to booth locations as needed.

Terms & Conditions

Vendor Restrictions
No food or liquor sales. No MLM companies. No religious orgs/orgs affiliated with a political candidate. 
 
Event Procedures:
Load-in & Load-out 
Decisions to alter the following timeframes and locations will be made by park management and AGKC due to customer and vendor safety, including extreme weather conditions.

Market Hours: 11am to 4pm
Load-in: 8am-10:30am
Load-out: 4pm-5pm
 
  • Vehicles may pull up to the loading dock to unload or park in the parking lot south of the event grounds and cart items over.
  • Upon arrival, check-in with an AGKC Site Crew member (dressed in black with an AGKC CREW LOGO’d t-shirt). Our team will help find your booth location if you need assistance.
  • No vehicles may drive onto the Berkley Riverfront Park grounds.
  • Vendors must remain set-up until 4 p.m. when the event closes. Vendors are required to break down their booth space, clean up trash and cart items to their vehicle. In case of an emergency and you need to leave early, you must alert the AGKC Team at the INFO BOOTH or via Eventeny messaging platform before packing up.
  • Vendors must provide their own 10x10 canopy, 20-30lb weights per leg, chairs, tables, tablecloths, and displays.
 
Cancellation & Refund Policy
  • Cancellations must be made via email (hello@artgardenkc.org) or Eventeny message platform at least 7 days prior to the date for which you are scheduled in order to receive a full refund/avoid charge for the cancelled date. 
  • Vendor presence required from start to close; emergency departures notify on-site AGKC Team.
  • This event takes place rain or shine.
    • Cancellations made by Port KC and Art Garden KC due to severe weather conditions or other external limiting factors prior to event start will receive a full refund.
Media & Advertising
Art Garden KC captures photos and videos at all our public events, including footage of vendors, products, booth displays and event activities. These images are used by Art Garden KC and media partners to promote our events, vendors and company. Images may be used in press releases, paid advertising, printed publicity and published on Art Garden KC’s website and social media channels. All images and bios included in vendor applications are intended for use in media promotions at the benefit of the vendor and event organizers. If you would prefer for you, your staff or organization not to be photographed at our events, please kindly decline filming/photography on-site or email hello@artgardenkc.org.
 
Vendors are encourage to promote upcoming events using graphics provided by event organizers or using your own graphics/promotions, as well capture day-of event content and post on social media, tagging @artgardenkc

Property Damage
  • Art Garden Kansas City LLC and its partners, contractors, agents or officials are hereby released from any responsibility or liability for loss or damage of merchandise or property while it is being displayed/stored in this location.
  • Vendors are responsible for their own personal liability and/or general liability insurance.
