About the application

Create a display of your cultural heritage at FusionFest! 

Festival: Thanksgiving weekend at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts Here is a chance to display items, costumes and information about your heritage. FusionFest provides a table and wall grid on which you can display the things you want to show festival-goers. You may also want to have a staff person there to talk with the audience. Set up on Friday. Load out after 6pm on Sunday. Our curators Maria Fernanda Saavedra and Samir Fkiyki will be choose 20 organizations representing heritages from all corners of the globe, to make the most interesting and varied tent for Central Florida attendees.
What FusionFest provides:

  • A covered 8x8 space for the exclusive use of your organization
  • Night-time security

What the participating organization provides:
  • Complete application by November 1st
  • Decoration of their space to display their cultural heritage - it can be a static display that people view from the outside or something they can step into to take pictures or enjoy interacting with

About the event

7th Annual Multicultural Festival - A free, two-day, festival that draws thousands of people from more than 110 different cultures to experience music, dance, food, visual arts, spoken word, games and interactive activities in Downtown Orlando.

By submitting this application, I agree that FusionFest can use the content I submit (photos, videos and short bio) to show in promotions for the festival and related events. I understand that this is an Intent to Participate, and that I will be contacted if selected for the next phase. LIABILILTY AND PHOTO RELEASEI (or my child/ren) am voluntarily participating in this program, class or event written above. In return for the opportunity to participate, I voluntarily for myself (or my child/ren) waive, release, indemnify and hold harmless Orange County and FusionFest, Inc. and their officers and employees from any liabilities, claims, damages, injuries, losses, and expenses including reasonable attorney’s fees and costs whatsoever, including those for personal injury, death or property damage, which may arise from or in connection with participation in this program, class or event.If this registration is for one of my minor child/ren, I hereby consent to emergency treatment and transportation of my minor child for any condition which may arise during, from, or in connection with participation in this program, class or event and I shall be responsible for the payment of all costs associated with such emergency treatment or transportation.Further, I hereby give permission to Orange County and FusionFest, Inc. to use any photographs taken by the County or FusionFest, Inc., its officers, employees, or agents, of either me or my child/ren during participation in this program, class or event. I agree such photographs shall be the property of Orange County or FusionFest, Inc. and I am not entitled to compensation of any kind for the use of such photographs.I agree to abide by all County, State and federal ordinances, rules and regulations, and understand that Orange County and FusionFest, Inc. have the right to change fees and requirements when necessary. This release shall remain in effect until canceled in writing. Notice to the minor child’s natural guardian: Read this form completely and carefully.You are agreeing that, even if Orange County or FusionFest, Inc. uses reasonable care in providing this activity, there is a chance your child may be seriously injured or killed by participating in this activity because there are certain dangers inherent in the activity which cannot be avoided or eliminated.By signing this form you are giving up your child’s right and your right to recover from Orange County or FusionFest, Inc. in a lawsuit for any personal injury, including death, to your child or any property damage that results from the risks that are a natural part of the activity.You have the right to refuse to sign this form, and Orange County or FusionFest, Inc. has the right to refuse to let your child participate if you do not sign this form.
